DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 5 thereof, a new apparel device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.

As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 5, the apparel system 10 generally comprises a shirt 12 that may be worn. The shirt 12 has a body 14, a first sleeve 16, a second sleeve 18, a neckband 20 and a collar 22. Each of the first sleeve 16 and the second sleeve 18 has a cuff 24, an inner surface 26 and an outer surface 28. The collar 22 has a first surface 30, a second surface 32 and a pair of tips 34. The neckband 20 has a first surface 36 and a second surface 38. The body 14 has an exterior surface 40. The shirt 12 may be a button down, long sleeved shirt or the like.

A first sleeve fastener 42 is provided and the first sleeve fastener 42 is coupled to the first sleeve 16. The first sleeve fastener 42 is positioned on the cuff 24 corresponding to the first sleeve 42. The first sleeve fastener 42 includes a first half 44 that is positioned on the outer surface 28 corresponding to the first sleeve 16. The first sleeve fastener 42 further includes a second half 46 that is positioned on the inner surface 26 corresponding to the first sleeve 16. The first half 44 is complementary with respect to the second half 46 such that the cuff 24 corresponding to the first sleeve 16 may be secured around a wrist.

A first cuff button 48 is coupled to the outer surface 28 corresponding to the first sleeve 16. The first cuff button 48 is positioned on the cuff 24 corresponding to the first sleeve 16. Thus, the first cuff button 48 appears to be a functional cuff button. The first cuff button 48 is aligned with the first sleeve fastener 42. The first sleeve fastener 42 may comprise a hook and loop fastener or the like.

A second sleeve fastener 50 is provided and the second sleeve fastener 50 is coupled to the second sleeve 18. The second sleeve fastener 50 is positioned on the cuff 24 corresponding to the second sleeve 18. The second sleeve fastener 50 includes a primary half 52 that is positioned on the outer surface 28 corresponding to the second sleeve 18. The second sleeve fastener 50 further includes a secondary half 54 that is positioned on the inner surface 26 corresponding to the first sleeve 16. The primary half 52 is complementary with respect to the secondary half 54 such that the cuff 24 corresponding to the second sleeve 18 may be secured around a wrist.

A second cuff button 56 is coupled to the outer surface 28 corresponding to the second sleeve 18. The second cuff button 56 is positioned on the cuff 24 corresponding to the second sleeve 18. Thus, the second cuff button 56 may appear to be a functional cuff button. The second cuff button 56 is aligned with the second sleeve fastener 50. The second sleeve fastener 50 may comprise a hook and loop fastener or the like.

A neckband fastener 58 is coupled to the neckband 20. The neckband fastener 58 may be manipulated thereby facilitating the neckband 20 to be secured around a neck. The neckband fastener 58 includes a first half 60 that is positioned on the first surface 36 corresponding to the neckband 20. The neckband fastener 58 further includes a second half 62 that is positioned on the second surface 38 corresponding to the neckband 20. The first half 60 corresponding to the neckband fastener 58 is complementary with respect to the second half 62 corresponding to the neckband fastener 58. The neckband fastener 58 may comprise a hook and loop fastener or the like.

A first collar fastener 64 is coupled to the collar 22. The first collar fastener 64 selectively engages the body 14 such that the collar 22 is removably fastened to the body 14. The first collar 64 fastener includes a first half 66 that is positioned on the first surface 30 corresponding to the collar 22. The first half 66 corresponding to the first collar fastener 64 is positioned adjacent to an associated one of the tips 34.

The first collar fastener 64 further includes a second half 68 that is positioned on the exterior surface 40 of the body 14. The second half 68 corresponding to the first collar fastener 64 is aligned with the first half 66 corresponding to the first collar fastener 64. The first half 66 corresponding to the first collar fastener 64 is complementary with respect to the second half 68 corresponding to the first collar fastener 64.

A first collar button 70 is coupled to the second surface 32 corresponding to the collar 22. The first collar button 70 is positioned adjacent to the associated tip 34. Thus, the first collar button 70 may appear to be a functional collar button. The first collar button 70 is aligned with the first collar fastener 64. The first collar fastener 64 may comprise hook and loop fastener or the like.

A second collar fastener 72 is coupled to the collar 22. The second collar fastener 72 selectively engages the body 14 such that the collar 22 is removably fastened to the body 14. The second collar fastener 72 includes a first half 74 that is positioned on the first surface 30 corresponding to the collar 22. The first half 74 corresponding to the second collar fastener 72 is positioned adjacent to an associated one of the tips 34.

The second collar fastener 72 further includes a second half 76. The second half 76 corresponding to the second collar fastener 72 is positioned on the exterior surface 40 of the body 14. The second half 76 corresponding to the second collar fastener 72 is aligned with the first half 74 corresponding to the second collar fastener 72. The second half 76 corresponding to the second collar fastener 72 is complementary with respect to the first half 74 corresponding to the second collar fastener 72.

A second collar button 78 is coupled to the second surface 32 corresponding to the collar 22. The second collar button 78 is positioned adjacent to the associated tip 34. Thus, the second collar button 78 may appear to be a functional collar button. The second collar button 78 is aligned with the second collar fastener 72.

In use, the shirt 12 is worn in the convention of clothing. The first sleeve fastener 42 is manipulated to close the cuff 24 corresponding to the first sleeve 16. The second sleeve fastener 50 is manipulated to close the cuff 24 corresponding to the second sleeve 18. The neckband fastener 58 is manipulated to close the neckband 20. Each of the first collar fastener 64 and the second collar fastener 72 are manipulated to attach each of the tips 34 to the body 14. Each of the first sleeve fastener 42, the second sleeve fastener 50, the neckband fastener 58, the first collar fastener 64 and the second collar fastener 72 facilitate a physically disabled user to wear the shirt 12. Thus, the physically disabled user does not have to attempt to manipulate traditional shirt buttons on the cuffs 24, the neckband 20 and the collar 22.

With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, system and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.

Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
