Description:

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a playing table and, more particularly, to a playing table available for a table game, such as the table soccer, hockey and the like.

2. Description of the Related Art

A conventional playing table comprises a support having a top surface, two goals mounted on two opposite ends of the top surface of the support, and a scoreboard located above the top surface of the support to indicate the scores gained by players. Thus, the playing table is available for two players to play a table game, such as the table soccer, hockey and the like, so as to achieve an amusement. However, the scoreboard is located above the top surface of the support, so that the players have to raise their heads to see the scores shown on the scoreboard during playing the game, thereby causing inconvenience to the players.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a playing table, comprising a support, and at least one projection device located above the support to project scores onto a top surface of the support.

The playing table further comprises a main frame mounted on the support and connected to the projection device to transmit the scores to the projection device.

The projection device includes a projection portion to project the scores from the main frame onto the top surface of the support, a display chip connected between the main frame and the projection portion to receive and process the scores from the main frame and to transmit the signals of the scores to the projection portion, and an amplification portion connected to the projection portion to amplify the signals of the scores from the projection portion.

The projection device further includes a protection lens located in front of the amplification portion to protect the amplification portion.

The projection device further includes a cooling fan located in rear of the projection portion to carry a heat produced by the projection portion.

Preferably, the playing table comprises two projection devices located above the support to project the scores onto two opposite ends of the top surface of the support respectively.

The playing table further comprises two counting devices mounted on two opposite ends of the support and connected to the main frame to transmit the scores to the main frame.

The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a playing table that displays scores to users clearly.

Another objective of the present invention is to provide a playing table, wherein the projection device projects the scores of the players onto the top surface of the support, so that the scores are shown and indicated clearly on the top surface of the support, and the players can see the scores on the top surface of the support easily and quickly without having to raise their heads to see the scores, thereby facilitating the players playing the game.

Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING(S)

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a playing table in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention.

FIG. 2 is a side enlarged view of a projection device of the playing table as shown in FIG. 1.

FIG. 3 is a perspective view of a playing table in accordance with another preferred embodiment of the present invention.

FIG. 4 is a side view of a playing table in accordance with another preferred embodiment of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to the drawings and initially to FIGS. 1 and 2, a playing table in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a support 4, at least one projection device 3 located above the support 4 to project scores 5 onto a top surface 40 of the support 4, a main frame 1 mounted on the support 4 and connected to the projection device 3 to transmit the scores 5 to the projection device 3, and two counting devices 12 mounted on two opposite ends of the support 4 and connected to the main frame 1 to transmit the scores 5 to the main frame 1.

Each of the two counting devices 12 is connected to the main frame 1 by a connecting line 13. The two counting devices 12 are used to calculate the scores 5 of at least two users or players and to transmit signals of the scores 5 to the main frame 1 respectively.

The main frame 1 is connected to the projection device 3 by a connecting wire 11. The main frame 1 is used to process the scores 5 from the two counting devices 12 and to transmit the signals of the scores 5 to the projection device 3 in a wire manner.

The projection device 3 is supported by a support post 2. Preferably, the support post 2 has a hollow inside and is mounted on a side of the support 4, and the connecting wire 11 of the main frame 1 extends through the support post 2. In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the projection device 3 is located at a middle portion of a side of the support 4 to project the scores 5 from the main frame 1 onto a middle portion of the top surface 40 of the support 4.

The projection device 3 includes a projection portion 34 to project the scores 5 from the main frame 1 onto the top surface 40 of the support 4, a display chip 33 connected between the main frame 1 and the projection portion 34 to receive and process the scores 5 from the main frame 1 and to transmit the signals of the scores 5 to the projection portion 34, an amplification portion 32 connected to the projection portion 34 to amplify the signals of the scores 5 from the projection portion 34, a protection lens 31 located in front of the amplification portion 32 to protect the amplification portion 32, and a cooling fan 35 located in rear of the projection portion 34 to carry a heat produced by the projection portion 34. The display chip 33 of the projection device 3 is located outside of the amplification portion 32.

In operation, the two counting devices 12 calculate the scores 5 of the players and transmit signals of the scores 5 to the main frame 1 respectively. Then, the main frame 1 processes the scores 5 from the two counting devices 12 transmits the signals of the scores 5 to the projection device 3. Finally, the projection device 3 projects the scores 5 from the main frame 1 onto the top surface 40 of the support 4, so that the scores 5 are shown and indicated clearly on the top surface 40 of the support 4 as shown in FIG. 2, and the players can see the scores 5 on the top surface 40 of the support 4 instantaneously without having to raise their heads to see the scores 5, thereby facilitating the players playing the game.

As shown in FIG. 3, the playing table comprises two projection devices 3 located above the support 4 to project the scores 5 onto two opposite ends of the top surface 40 of the support 4 respectively to facilitate the players seeing the scores 5. Preferably, the two projection devices 3 are supported by a support post 2.

As shown in FIG. 4, the support post 2 is mounted on a ceiling 6. In addition, the main frame 1 transmits the signals of the scores 5 to the projection device 3 in a wireless manner.

Accordingly, the projection device 3 projects the scores 5 of the players onto the top surface 40 of the support 4, so that the scores 5 are shown and indicated clearly on the top surface 40 of the support 4, and the players can see the scores 5 on the top surface 40 of the support 4 easily and quickly without having to raise their heads to see the scores 5, thereby facilitating the players playing the game.
