Claims:
What is claimed is:

1. A body tone exercise brick comprising: a brick body having a receiving chamber opened upward; a bar detachably mounted in the receiving chamber of the brick body; and a pair of weight members alternatively placed in the receiving chamber of the brick body or detachably coupled to two ends of the bar.

2. The body tone exercise brick as claimed in claim 1, wherein the brick body further includes two insertion grooves in communication with the receiving chamber of the brick body for insertion of the two ends of the bar.

3. The body tone exercise brick as claimed in claim 1, wherein the two ends of the bar each have a threaded section and the weight members each have a threaded hole threaded with one of the threaded sections of the bar.

Description:

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates generally to exercise equipment, and more specifically to body tone exercise bricks.

2. Description of the Related Art

A yoga brick is generally used to help a user in the practice of the yoga positions, providing support for some yoga positions where the user's body needs to deepen stretches.

U.S. Pat. No. 7,156,791 discloses a yoga grip block, comprising one or more block sections and a grip section that provide support and comfort in the practice of yoga exercises. However, the yoga grip block only has function to practice yoga exercises such that it has fewer modes to take exercise. Thus, the yoga grip block is difficult to train the user's muscles of other portions.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention has been accomplished in view of the above-noted circumstances. It is one objective of the present invention to provide a body tone exercise brick, which has a variety of exercise modes to train user's muscles of various portions.

To achieve this objective of the present invention, the body tone exercise brick comprises a brick body having a receiving chamber opened upward, a bar detachably mounted in the receiving chamber of the brick body, and a pair of weight members alternatively placed in the receiving chamber of the brick body or detachably coupled to two ends of the bar.

Thus, a user not only can practice yoga exercises though the brick body but also can build muscles by means of a dumbbell assembled by the bar and the weight members.

Further scope of applicability of the present invention will become apparent from the detailed description given hereinafter. However, it should be understood that the detailed description and specific examples, while indicating preferred embodiments of the invention, are given by way of illustration only, since various changes and modifications within the spirit and scope of the invention will become apparent to those skilled in the art from this detailed description.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The present invention will become more fully understood from the detailed description given herein below and the accompanying drawings which are given by way of illustration only, and thus are not limitative of the present invention, and wherein:

FIG. 1 is an exploded view of the body tone exercise brick according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention;

FIG. 2 is a top view of the body tone exercise brick according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention;

FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the body tone exercise brick according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention, showing that the bar is inserted in the insertion grooves of the brick body;

FIG. 4 is a schematic drawing showing that the body tone exercise brick is used for yoga positions, and

FIG. 5 is a schematic drawing showing that two body tone exercise bricks are used for push-up exercise.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to FIG. 1, a body tone exercise brick 10 in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a brick body 20, a bar 30 and a pair of weight members 40.

Referring to FIG. 2, the rectangular brick body 20 has a receiving chamber 22 opened upward on a center thereof, and two insertion grooves 24 on left and right sides of a periphery of the receiving chamber 22.

Referring to FIGS. 1 and 3, the bar 30 has two ends respectively having a threaded section 32 and inserted in the insertion grooves 24 of the brick body 20 so as to be located in the receiving chamber 22 of the brick body 20.

The weight members 40 can be removably placed in the receiving chamber 22 of the brick body 20. Each weight member 40 has a threaded hole 42 such that the weight members 40 can be coupled to the two ends of the bar 30 to form a dumbbell 50 through the engagement of the threaded holes 42 of the weight members 40 and the threaded sections 32 of the bar 30 when the bar 30 is taken out of the receiving chamber 22 of the brick body 20.

By means of this design, when the body tone exercise brick 10 is in use, a user can put the brick body 20 on the ground and make the bar 30 face down, and then the user may use the brick body 20 to practice yoga positions with the support of the brick body 20, as shown in FIG. 4.

Another exercise mode of the present invention is shown in FIG. 5. The user may prepare a pair of body tone exercise bricks 10 and put them on the ground to make the bars 30 face up. As a result, the user can do push-ups by griping the bars 30 to build muscles.

Further, the user can hold the dumbbell 50 assembled by the bar 30 and the weight members 40 to train various muscles, such as back muscles. If the user doesn't want to use the dumbbell 50, he/she can easily disassemble the weight members 40 and the bar 30 and put them in the receiving chamber 22 of the brick body 20.

In conclusion, the body tone exercise brick 10 of the invention provides a variety of exercise modes that the user can choose to train various muscles.

The invention being thus described, it will be obvious that the same may be varied in many ways. Such variations are not to be regarded as a departure from the spirit and scope of the invention, and all such modifications as would be obvious to one skilled in the art are intended to be included within the scope of the following claims.
