The “EASY WASH” Application for Textiles claims priority to the USPTO Non-Provisional patent application Ser. No. 11/275030, Filed Electronically Dec. 4, 2005, Confirmation # 1045, EFS ID 1000115, with all benefits there-of. The “EASY WASH” application for textiles is an improvement on textile products, generally comforters and quilts, by the ability, because of the “EASY WASH” application applied to specific areas of the textile products, allowing for cleaning in a standard size washing machine on gentle cold water cycle, and dryed in a standard size clothes dryer on gentle cycle. When textile products panels are formed into one textile product using the “EASY WASH” application, generally comforters and quilts, certain specific individual panels can be flipped over for a new color or color pattern look. The forming of the new look is when one panel with the “EASY WASH” application pocket is inserted with one fabric panel having soft Velcro sewn along the edge back to back lengthwise and pressed together.
The present invention relates to textile products, particularly comforters and quilts, having individual panels connected together by the “EASY WASH” application. The “EASY WASH” invention allows for pulling textiles apart, generally comforters and quilts, allowing for easier washing, cold-water gentle cycle, and drying, gentle dry level in a standard size household washers and dryers. Generally, three fabric panels form one particular comforter or quilt; larger size products can have five panels, or more. The textiles, generally, comforters and quilts middle panels, or five panels in larger sizes, have specifically and particularly along both long sides of the particular middle panels an “EASY WASH” application pocket. Textiles, generally comforters and quilts, having the soft Velcro strips slip easily into the textiles, generally comforter and quilt panel's “EASY WASH” pocket with the hook and eye Velcro strips sewn on the inside top and bottom of the pocket to specifically form one complete comforter and quilt.
Textiles, generally comforters and quilts, in King and California King Size can be formed with five individual panels. With the textiles, generally comforters and quilts, in larger sizes will have two alternating specific inside panels that have the specific “EASY WASH” pocket on each long side of the inside alternated panels. Forming one large comforter or quilt, the two inside alternating fabric panels along the long side of each particular panel have the “EASY WASH” application pocket to form one King and California King Size comforter and quilt. Only specific panels of the larger textiles, and only particular panels, of the five-panel textile product or more, generally comforters and quilts, will have soft Velcro strips sewn lengthwise on both sides of the specific panels.
Textile products, generally comforters and quilts are currently formed by sewing two large pieces of fabric together with batting in between the top and bottom pieces of fabric. Generally, these particular comforters and quilts have different thickness of batting sewn into the middle of the particular fabric sides and come in California King, King, Queen, and Queen/Full and Twin sizes. These comforters and quilts generally have been taken outside the home to a commercial cleaning or dry cleaning retail store for cleaning. The cost of cleaning comforters and quilts is a big disadvantage to the consumer. A second disadvantage of outside retail cleaning of comforters and quilts people physically carrying of comforters and quilts from home to vehicle to cleaning establishment and back again.
A third disadvantage effects families with children and elderly family members in the home. Currently, if a child or elderly family member accidentally soils the comforters and quilts, the bedding is stripped from the bed. The soiled bedding is taken outside the home to a professional cleaner. Bedding, specifically having the “EASY WASH” application sewn into comforters and quilts are generally sewn into three particular panels. The comforter and quilt middle panel specifically is sewn with the “EASY WASH” application pocket on the long edges of the middle panel. The comforter and quilt long edges has the “EASY WASH” pocket with two strips of hook and eye Velcro sewn on the inside hem lengthwise top and bottom of the specific long pockets. King and California King Sizes of comforters and quilts generally are produced with three panels; the specific center panel will have the “EASY WASH” pocket sewn on the long sides. King and California King Size comforters and quilts can be produced with five particular panels. King and California King Size comforters will have two specific alternating inside panels sewn on each long side the “EASY WASH” pocket with the two specific strips of hook and eye Velcro sewn lengthwise on inside. King and California King Size comforters, having five panels, feature EASY WASH pockets on each of two specific panels' long sides. Two of five panels have soft Velcro strips sewn back to back lengthwise on only one particular long side of two panels. Two panels of five panels have soft Velcro strips lengthwise on both sides back to back. King, and California King comforters and quilts with “EASY WASH” pocket five panels have specific center panel sewn lengthwise on both particular long edges with soft Velcro strips both sides back to back.
In accordance with the aspects of the “EASY WASH” application for textiles, generally comforters and quilts, the “EASY WASH” invention includes one or more particular panels that have the “EASY WASH” application pocket on the long side of the particular panel (female). Exposing the inside of the “EASY WASH” pocket opening (female) shows hook and eye Velcro sewn lengthwise. The hook and eye Velcro strips are sewn on the inside top lengthwise and inside bottom lengthwise, that when closed specifically form one comforter and quilt.
Outer comforter and quilt panel's generally two specific panels have one edge lengthwise sewn with soft Velcro strips back to back. The soft Velcro on the long lengthwise outer edges of the specific panels (male) are than inserted into the specific comforter and quilt panels with the “EASY WASH” application pocket (female). Once comforter and quilt specific panels (male, female) are engaged, pressing down firmly where the soft Velcro has been inserted into the “EASY WASH” application pocket, the specific comforter and/or quilt has formed one complete comforter or quilt. The “EASY WASH” application has been configured so panels with soft Velcro (male) can be reversed/flipped over and reinserted into the “EASY WASH” application pocket panels for a new look of the fabric's patterns.
The foregoing aspects and many of the advantages of this invention will become more readily appreciated as the same become better understood by reference to the following detailed description, when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, and FIGURES, wherein:
