Title:
Perma post
Kind Code:
A1

Abstract:
Perma post is completely original in terms of what's currently on the market. The galvanized cylinder and brackets, along with the metal straps protects and prevents moderate to heavy damages to the posts and fence sections during heavy winds and/or hurricane winds. The concept of galvanized steel enables the product to sustain a newer and cleaner look without the threat of rust developing. Perma post is ideal for residential and commercial consumers.

BACKGROUND OF INVENTION

In many areas around the world, the high cost of hurricane damage is abundant. Ranging from minor to major damage to residential or commercial properties.

The main concept behind Perma Post is to limit or eliminate damage to residential or commercial properties, by re-enforcing the post and fence section with galvanize steel cylinders and brackets. This will enable the post and fence structure to withstand the heavy winds of a hurricane to minimal or no damage

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The basic idea of Perma Post is to minimize structural damage to fence sections and the post. The 6 foot Galvanized steel cylinder (¼ inches thick) is wrapped firmly around each post, starting from the base to two feet from the top. The metal brackets are installed at-two locations along the fence section. One being two feet from the bottom and the other two feet From the top. Metal straps are attached to the brackets and Run firmly along the fence section.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING

FIG. 1 Description: The cylinder is made of galvanized steel to prevent it from rusting. It is 6 feet long and shapes firmly around the post. The thickness of the cylinder would be ¼ inches thick; this would prevent the post from breaking at the base. The cylinder will be cosmetically designed to blend in with the post. The brackets have two parts to it. The first being the bracket itself, made of galvanized steel, and the second part made of thin metal straps approximately 2 inches wide and ⅛ inches thick. These are placed in 2 sections, one being 2 feet from the bottom and the other 2 feet from the top.

FIG. 2 Description: This diagram shows what the product would look fully assembled. The post along with the cylinder would be buried 30 inches from the surface. This would leave only 24 inches of post not covered by the cylinder. The brackets for the fence section have a metal strap that is attached to them. The brackets wrap around the post, while the metal straps wrap along the fence horizontally and 2 feet apart on the outside and inside. This concept would prevent the fence section from pulling away from the post during heavy winds. There are 2 brackets and metal straps per section, each separated by 2 feet.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Perma post is made of galvanized steel (rust proof) and will come in several colors for cosmetic purposes. The galvanized cylinders would be molded around the post to prevent breakage and or splitting during heavy winds due to hurricanes. The brackets, which are also made of galvanized steel attaches on the post at 2 locations. One would be 2 feet from the top and the other 2 feet from the bottom. A metal strap will attach to each bracket and firmly fasten along the fence section to secure it from being pulled away. Currently there is no other product on the market that resembles perma post; also the process to manufacture perma post would be cost effective due to inexpensive material that would be used to make perma post.
