DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

References are made to FIG. 1 and FIG. 2. An exhaust pipe structure improvement of the present invention is connected with a joint pipe 90 of an engine of a car, and comprises a bifurcation pipe 10, a first muffling pipe 20, a second muffling pipe 30, a placed base 40, a heat-insulating block 50 and a control device 60.

The bifurcation pipe 10 is a hollow pipe. One end of the bifurcation pipe 10 is divided into a first branch pipe 11 and a second branch pipe 12 and the other end is connected with the joint pipe 90 of the engine.

One end of the first muffling pipe 20 is connected with the first branch pipe 11 of the bifurcation pipe 10, and the other end thereof is sleeved by a tail pipe 21. The first muffling pipe 20 has two hollow pipe housings 22, and 22′, the two pipe housings 22, and 22′ are spaced at intervals and a flow region 23 is formed between the two pipe housings 22, and 22′. The two pipe housings 22, and 22′ have a plurality of muffling holes 24, and 24′ formed at one pipe wall thereof near the flow region 23, respectively. The muffling holes 24 and 24′ are covered by stainless steel wools 25, and 25′, respectively. An outer pipe 26 surrounds the stainless steel wools 25 and 25′. The outer pipe 26 has a front partition plate 261 and a rear partition plate 262 disposed therein, which respectively connect with the two pipe housings 22, and 22′. Fiberglass wool 27 is stuffed between the front partition plate 261 and the rear partition plate 262.

The second muffling pipe 30 has an inner pipe 31. One end of the inner pipe 31 is connected with the second branch pipe 12 of the bifurcation pipe 10 and the other end thereof is sleeved by a tail pipe 32. The inner pipe 31 has a plurality of muffling holes 33 formed on a middle pipe wall thereof, and a valve piece 34 is disposed in the middle of the inner pipe 31. The valve piece 34 is operated in the second muffling pipe 30 by the control device 60. Stainless steel wool 35 surrounds the muffling pipes 33. An outer pipe 36 surrounds the stainless steel wool 35. An outer diameter of the outer pipe 36 is large than an outer diameter of the inner pipe 31, and fiberglass wool 37 is stuffed between the outer pipe 36 and the inner pipe 31.

Reference is made to FIG. 1. The placed base 40 is a triangle-shaped plate and a bottom surface thereof is welded on an outer side of the second muffling pipe 30 for placing the heat-insulating block 50. The placed base 40 has an open hole 41 and the open hole 41 penetrates the place base 40.

The heat-insulating block 50 is a triangular prism and is made of a heat-resisting material, such as bakelite, for bearing a higher temperature conducted from the exhaust pipe. The heat-insulating block 50 is disposed between the control device 60 and the second muffling pipe 30 and is installed on the placed base 40, and the heat-insulating block 50 has a through hole 51 corresponding to the open hole 41 of the placed base 40.

The control device 60 can be a motor that is disposed close to one end of the heat-insulating block 50. The control device 60 is protruded with a shaft 61. The shaft 61 is penetrated through the through hole 51 of the heat-insulating block 50 and the open hole 41 of the placed base 40, and extends into the second muffling pipe 30 to connect with the valve piece 34. The valve piece 34 is controlled by the control device 60 to open or close an exhaust section of the second muffling pipe 30 so as to control the exhaust volume of the exhaust pipe. The control device 60 is connected with a switch 80 by a conducting wire 70 to switch the valve piece 34 opening or closing.

Reference is made to FIG. 3. The control device 60 is closed when a car is driving on general road sections, such as in an urban district, and the valve piece 34 is closed in the second muffling pipe 30. The exhaust of the joint pipe 90 produced from the engine is blocked by the valve piece 34, and the exhaust can only pass through the pipe housing 22 of the first muffling pipe 20. One part of the exhaust stated above passes through the muffling holes 24 and outwardly fled so as to slow the speed; and another part of the exhaust passes through the flow region 23 and got into another pipe housing 22′ and exhausted from the stainless steel wool 25′. Therefore, an exhaust path is extended and the exhaust is filtered so as to conform to the request of the exhaust volume and to reduce noise and pollution.

Reference is made to FIG. 4. The control device 60 is rotated to open the valve piece 34 by the switch 80 when the car is driving on high-speed road sections in a suburban district or climbing road sections. One part of the exhaust produced from the engine passes through the first muffling pipe 20, and another exhaust passes through the second muffling pipe 30 without being blocked by the valve piece 34. The exhaust is filtered by the stainless steel wool 35 and the fiberglass wool 37 and exhausted by the second muffling pipe 30, so that the exhaust is collectively exhausted by the first muffling pipe 20 and the second muffling pipe 30 to exhaust much exhaust volume so as to increase the speed. Furthermore, the control device 60 is separated from the second muffling pipe 30 by the heat-insulating block 50 so that the control device 60 does not touch the second muffling pipe 30 directly. Because the heat-insulating block 50 is made of a heat-resisting material to bear a higher temperature conducted from the second muffling pipe 30, the control device 60 can function well and is protected from being burned out. It can not only extend the lifetime but also increase practicability thereof.

Reference is made to FIG. 5. The valve piece 34 further has a plurality of open holes 341. When the valve piece 34 is closed in the second muffling pipe 30, the exhaust is partially passed through the open holes 341 to obtain a better acceleration performance.

Therefore, through the exhaust pipe structure improvement of the present invention, the driver can change the exhaust volume by switching the switch 80. The exhaust pipe can has low noise and low pollution in common situation, and can increase the acceleration performance according to the driver's need or the change of road situation. Because the control device 60 is separated from the second muffling pipe 30 by the heat-insulating block 50 and is not burned out by high temperature, the control device 60 can open or close the valve piece 34 certainly and the reliability is enhanced greatly. Besides, it can increase the acceleration performance because the valve piece 34 is disposed in middle of the second muffling pipe 30.

Although the present invention has been described with reference to the preferred embodiment thereof, it will be understood that the invention is not limited to the details thereof.
