Description:

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a multi-purpose brush with a liquid dispenser. More particularly, this invention relates to a multi-purpose brush that combines functions of wet and dry cleaning, brushing, sanding and wiping.

A brush is used mainly for removing dust or other particles from a surface of an object to be cleaned. In many cases, an object is cleaned before various kinds of intermediate and finishing treatments of the surface. Such treatments include sanding, polishing, wiping or washing, etc. Usually, a separate tool was used for each of the cleaning and treatment operations.

Cleaning and treating surface operations sometimes require various kinds of liquid chemical agent such as soap, oil, polish, etc. Operations of carrying, storing and applying the liquid were required in such wet cleaning or treating work.

A multi-purpose brush that can serve such multiple operations by itself without requiring separate tools or containers has long been in need but no prior art multiple-purpose brush was satisfactory in the aspects of convenience, simple construction, optimum arrangement of components and versatility.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention contrives to solve the disadvantages of the prior art.

An objective of the invention is to provide a multi-purpose brush that can contain and dispense liquid for cleaning, polishing, coating and other chemical agents that are related to applications of brushes.

Another objective of the invention is to provide a multi-purpose brush that can be directly connected to a tap water and use running water while performing other functions of the brush.

Still another objective of the invention is to provide a multi-purpose brush that can serve multiple purpose of plain brushing, brushing narrow places and complex shape objects, wet cleaning, polishing, spraying and applying liquid with a single multi-purpose brush.

In order to achieve the above objectives, the present invention provides a multi-purpose brush having a brush body that includes a liquid tank and a nozzle that is connected to the liquid tank, an application part that is adapted to hold application tool, and is attached to the brush body, and a handle that extends from the brush body. The brush body includes a base wall, a top wall and a side wall that connects the base wall and the top wall. The side wall includes a front end and a rear end. The handle extends from the rear end of the side wall.

The application part includes a bristle part. The application tool of the bristle part includes a plurality of bristles. The bristle part includes a main brush part that includes a plurality of bristles attached to the base wall, and one or more auxiliary brush parts that include a plurality of bristles attached to the side wall.

The auxiliary brush parts includes two side brush parts that are attached transversely to the side wall, and two oblique brush parts that are attached obliquely to the side wall near the front end of the side wall.

The nozzle is provided at the front end. The nozzle is adapted to dispense liquid by pushing the nozzle.

The liquid tank includes a liquid-containing space. The top wall, the base wall and the side wall of the brush body confine the liquid-containing space. The top wall is flexible, so that by pressing the top wall, liquid is dispensed through the nozzle.

The multi-purpose brush further includes a liquid that is contained in the liquid tank. The liquid includes soap, polish, oil or cleaning chemical.

The multi-purpose brush further includes a wiping part that is attached to the brush body. The wiping part includes a compressible wiping body, and a cloth or a sandpaper that covers the compressible wiping body.

The multi-purpose brush further includes a running liquid supply adaptor. The running liquid supply adaptor is provided on the handle, and is adapted to receive water from a water tap via a water hose.

The brush body may further include a running liquid nozzle that is adapted to dispense running liquid provided via the running liquid supply adaptor.

Alternatively, the application part may include one or more sanding parts. The application tool of each of the sanding parts includes a sandpaper. The sanding parts are attached to the side wall.

The advantages of the present invention are: (1) the multi-purpose brush reduces length of motion required since many different tools are closely arranged; (2) the multi-purpose brush removes the burden of keeping and carrying multiple tools and containers; (3) the multi-purpose brush can be used for various purposes including personal, home, commercial and industrial applications; and (4) the multi-purpose brush greatly facilitates wet cleaning and other cleaning or surface treatment operations using liquid chemical agents.
