Title:
Clean seas
Kind Code:
A1

Abstract:
Clean Seas is a non-toxic, submersible, detachable fishing weight ball. It is used to submerge open water fishing tackle. It is a viable alternative to toxic lead exposure to human and marine species and ecosystems. Clean Seas features an engineered amalgam core, weighted to specifications that reflect the lead encasement needed to submerge various tackle to desired depths. It is compatible with the Pencil Release System (“PRS”). Clean Seas also features a brass eyelet for attachment to various tackle. Upon release of this weighted ball, for instance, after a fish strikes, the device is detached and left to descend to the bottom of the ocean thereby eliminating oceanic toxicity.

Claims:
1. We claim that Clean Seas is very distant from any other product of its kind as it is NON-TOXIC. It is safe for human handling without the use of gloves or similar protection and reduces widespread toxic lead exposure.

Description:

No new matter is set forth below.

Clean Seas is a non-toxic submersible detachable fishing weight. Clean Seas has an amalgam core, weighted in ceramics ranging from one (1) pound to two and one-half (2.5) pounds.

The core of the device is then encased in a high impact porcelain shell, with a dimpled No. Eighty (80) grit surface enabling the user to grasp it much easier.

The Clean Seas weight has a small brass eyelet protruding from its top center. This fixed eyelet attaches to the Pencil Release System (hereinafter referred to as “PRS”) commonly used in sports fishing today.

Clean Seas submerses the fishing tackle to desired depths and is released when a fish strikes the lure. Title of Invention

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Clean Seas will be used in the field of open water sports fishing. This device will replace the current toxic submersible detachable lead weight ball.

Clean Seas, unlike its current leaded counterpart, is safe for human handling. This enables the handler to have NO HARMFUL effects while enjoying the sport.

The Clean Seas material and construction process would be similar to existing innovations, thus no major retooling and/or expense is anticipated.

Any problems arising in the manufacturing process of this device will be amenable to resolution through usual testing and refinement. This enables Clean Seas to be produced routinely, as necessary by market demand.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Clean Seas will reduce and arrest widespread toxic lead exposure because it is totally NON-TOXIC;

The device will be inexpensive and convenient;

It appeals to fishing enthusiasts concerned about the environment;

Allows the user to show support for their favorite companies via logo advertisements: and

No new design is required from the existing PRS.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Clean Seas features an engineered amalgam core fabricated to specifications to reflect the weight increments needed to submerge various tackle to desired depths and is unique to any other fishing apparatus. It is compatible with the current PRS except it is non-toxic. This device is encased in a high impact, biodegradable outer shell, i.e., the exact manufacturing process would include a hollow template inner core that is poured into the center of another templated surface that encompasses this core creating the outer shell (see Diagram 1). The entire process is then subjected to high pressure and heat to form the aforementioned invention at issue.
