Abstract:
A ring device made of metal; the ring device comprising: a ring body; two clamping pins extending from the ring body; a surface of the pin facing the pin having a first groove and a surface of the pin facing the pin having a second groove; the ends of the pins expanding outwards so as to form with a clamping portion; and a jewel placed in the clamping portion to be clamped by the two pins; edges of the jewel embedding into the first and second grooves to be fixed therein. In assembly, a fixture compresses the ring inwards so that the two pins expand outwards; then the jewel is placed in the clamping portion so that the edges of the jewel are received into the first and second grooves of the pins.

Claims:
What is claimed is:

1. A ring device made of metal; the ring device comprising: a ring body; two clamping pins extending from the ring body; a surface of a first pin of the two pins facing a second pin of the two pins having a first groove and a surface of the second pin facing the first pin having a second groove; the ends of the pins expanding outwards so as to form with a clamping portion; a jewel placed in the clamping portion to be clamped by the two pins; edges of the jewel embedding into the first and second grooves to be fixed therein; wherein in assembly, a fixture compresses the ring inwards so that the two pins expand outwards; then the jewel is placed in the clamping portion so that the edges of the jewel are received into the first and second grooves of the pins; then the fixture is released; therefore, by the resilient force of the ring, the two pins will restore to clamp the positioning portion of the jewel.

Description:

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to rings, and in particular to a ring device, wherein the assembly work can be performed easily and quickly. The ring is a metal ring. The pins clamp the jewel. No claws are used so that the ring will not hurt the clothes or other objects.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, a prior art ring is illustrated. The ring has a ring body 10. A seat 11 is located above the ring body 10. The seat 11 is formed by a prior art claws 110. An inner side of each claw 110 has a recess 111. The jewel 12 is assembled in the seat 11 and is positioned by the claws 10. The edges 120 of the jewel 12 is corresponding to the grooves 111. In assembly the prior art ring 1, an inner upper side of each claw 110 of the seat 11 is formed with the groove 111 by using knives. Then the jewel 12 is placed into the seat 11 so that the edges 120 of the jewels are corresponding to grooves 111 in the inner surfaces of the claws 110. Then a tool is used to bend the top end of the claw 110 for clamping the jewel 12.

However in assembling the prior art ring 1, the jewel 12 is placed upon the seat 11 and then the claws 110 serve to clamp the jewel 12. The machining work is tedious and time-consumed. Thereby the claws 110 easily crack clothes or other objects. Thereby the claws 110 deform and become loose as the jewel 12 is released. Moreover in the machining process of bending the claws 110 for clamping the jewel, it is possible that the claws 12 will crack or hurt the jewel 12.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Accordingly, the primary object of the present invention is to provide a ring device, wherein the assembly work can be performed easily and quickly. The ring is a metal ring. The pins clamp the jewel. No claws are used so that the ring will not hurt the clothes or other objects.

To achieve above objects, the present invention provides a ring device which is made of metal. The ring device comprises a ring body; two clamping pins extending from the ring body; a surface of the pin facing the pin having a first groove and a surface of the other pin facing the pin having a second groove; the ends of the pins expanding outwards so as to form with a clamping portion; a jewel placed in the clamping portion to be clamped by the two pins; edges of the jewel embedding into the first and second grooves to be fixed therein.

The various objects and advantages of the present invention will be more readily understood from the following detailed description when read in conjunction with the appended drawing.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

In order that those skilled in the art can further understand the present invention, a description will be described in the following in details. However, these descriptions and the appended drawings are only used to cause those skilled in the art to understand the objects, features, and characteristics of the present invention, but not to be used to confine the scope and spirit of the present invention defined in the appended claims.

Referring to FIGS. 3 to 6, the ring device of the present invention has the following components.

A metal ring body 2 has two clamping pins 20, 21. A surface of the pin 20 facing the pin 21 has a groove 200 and a surface of the pin 21 facing the pin 20 has a groove 210. The ends of the pins 20, 21 expand outwards so as to form with a clamping portion 22. A jewel 3 is placed in the clamping portion 22 to be clamped by the two pins 20, 21. Edges of the jewel 3 embed into the groove 200, 210 to be fixed therein.

In assembly, referring to FIGS. 3 to 6, a fixture compresses the ring 2 inwards so that the two pins 20, 21 expand outwards. Then the jewel 3 is placed in the clamping portion 22 so that the edges 30 of the jewel 3 are received into the grooves 200, 210 of the pins 20, 21. Then the fixture is released. Therefore, by the resilient force of the ring 2, the two pins 20, 21 will restore to clamp the positioning portion 22 of the jewel 3.

Advantages of the present invention will be described here. In assembling the jewel, the fixture clamps the ring from the two outer sides of the ring so that the pins expand outwards, and thus the edges of jewel can slide into the grooves 200, 210. The assembly work can be performed easily and quickly.

The ring is a metal ring. The pins clamp the jewel. No claws are used so that the ring will not hurt the clothes or other objects.

Furthermore, by sliding the edges of the jewels into the grooves, the assembly work is easy and quickly.

The present invention is thus described, it will be obvious that the same may be varied in many ways. Such variations are not to be regarded as a departure from the spirit and scope of the present invention, and all such modifications as would be obvious to one skilled in the art are intended to be included within the scope of the following claims.
