Many toy and craft kits contain articles that are fit together to make something that is larger than its constituent pieces. Such kits inspire creativity, develop tactile skills, and encourage focused engagement. The present invention serves a similar purpose by providing a key component used in the construction of a variety of designs wholly made from common rubber bands.
The main object of the present invention is to provide a fundamental component used in the construction of a new class of toy sculptures wholly made from common rubber bands.
FIG. 1 is a front elevational view of the toy construction link for rubber band sculptures; the rear elevational view thereof is a mirror image of the front elevational view thereof;
FIG. 2 is a top plan view thereof;
FIG. 3 is a right side view thereof; the left side view thereof is a mirror image of the right side view thereof;
FIG. 4 is a bottom plan view thereof;
FIG. 5 is a front and top perspective view thereof; the rear and top perspective view thereof is a mirror image of the front and top perspective view thereof;
FIG. 6 is a front and bottom perspective view thereof; the rear and bottom perspective view thereof is a mirror image of the front and bottom perspective view thereof;
FIG. 7 is a rear and right side perspective view thereof; the rear and left side perspective view thereof is a mirror image of the rear and right side perspective view thereof;
FIG. 8 is a front and right side perspective view thereof; the front and left side perspective view thereof is a mirror image of the front and right side perspective view thereof.
Referring to FIG. 1, a preferred embodiment of a toy construction link for rubber band sculptures in the present invention comprises a thick rubber band 1 bound by a thin rubber band 2. Both rubber bands are commonly found at commercial stores that sell office supplies.
The toy construction link for rubber band sculptures is easily coupled to similar links by securing said links to loops 3, 4, and 5. A virtually infinite variety of rubber band sculptures may thus be constructed from said links.
