Description:

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a brief-case, and more particularly to a brief case with expanding files each having a windowed tab to make a tag exposed from the tab.

2. Description of Related Art

With reference to FIG. 3, a conventional brief case in accordance with the prior art comprises a body (40) and multiple expanding files (50). The expanding files (50) are mounted inside the body (40) to hold paper files or documents. Each expanding file (50) has a tab (52) attached to the top of the expanding file (50). A tag (54) is mounted inside the tab (52) for writing notes or words on the tag (54) to allow the user recognize the files and documents held inside the expanding files (50).

However, the tag (52) on the conventional expanding file (50) has no window for the tag (54) to be exposed therefrom, such that the conventional expanding file (50) with the tab (52) must be made of a transparent or translucent material and must be tinted with a bright color but not with a dark color. Therefore, the appearance of the conventional brief case with the expanding files (50) is not varied. Furthermore, the conventional expanding files (50) cannot be made of a recycled material that always has a dark color and is opaque, so the cost for manufacturing a brief case with expanding files (50) in accordance with the prior art is high.

To overcome the shortcomings, the present invention tends to provide a brief case to mitigate or obviate the aforementioned problems.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The main objective of the invention is to provide a brief case that may have colorful expanding files to make the brief case have a varied and aesthetic appearance. The brief case has a body and multiple expanding files. The expanding files are mounted inside the body, and each has a tab and a tag. The tab is attached on the top of the expanding file and has a window. The tag is mounted inside the tab and is exposed from the window.

Other objects, advantages and novel features of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a brief case in accordance with the present invention;

FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view of the brief case in FIG. 1; and

FIG. 3 is an exploded perspective view of a conventional brief case in accordance with the prior art.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

With reference to FIGS. 1 and 2, a brief case in accordance with the present invention comprises a body (10) and multiple expanding files (20). The body (10) may have a flap (11) extending from one side of the body (10) to detachably attach to the other side of the body (10) such that a closed space is defined to hold the expanding files (20) inside.

The expanding files (20) are mounted inside the body (10) to hold paper files or documents. Each expanding file (20) has a tab (22) and a tag (24). The tab (22) is attached on a top of the expanding file (20) and has a window (222). The tag (24) is mounted inside the tab (22) and is exposed from the window (222), and notes or words can be written on the tag (24) to allow the user to recognize the files or documents held inside the expanding file (20).

Because the tab (22) has a window (222) to make the tag (24) be exposed therefrom, the user can directly see the notes or words on the tag (24) through the window (222). Thus, the expanding files (20) can be colored with any desired color even with a dark color, such as black, or the expanding files can be multicolored. In addition, the expanding files can be made of a transparent, a translucent or an opaque material, such that the appearance of the brief case is varied and aesthetic. With colorful expanding files (20), the documents can be classified conveniently by different colors of the expanding files (20). Furthermore, because the expanding files (20) can be made of an opaque material, the expanding files (20) can be made of a recycled material and are kindly to environment. Accordingly, the cost for manufacturing a brief case with expanding files (20) in accordance with the present invention is low.

Even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present invention have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and function of the invention, the disclosure is illustrative only, and changes may be made in detail, especially in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of parts within the principles of the invention to the full extent indicated by the broad general meaning of the terms in which the appended claims are expressed.
