[0004] 1. Field of the Invention
[0005] This invention relates to fabric covers, especially to fabric covers made of nylon which help protect golf club grips.
[0006] 2. Background of the Invention
[0007] The grip cover for golf clubs provides a portable protective barrier between the grips of the golf club and wet grass often encountered on a golf course. The grip cover is slipped over the grip of the golf club before a club is placed on the ground to help protect the grip and keep it dry; the grip cover is then removed prior to swinging the club.
[0008] The purposes of the invention are:
[0009] To help keep grips dry by providing a barrier between wet grass and other wet objects encountered during golf and the club grips.
[0010] To help protect grips from wear and tear by providing a barrier between golf club grips and the natural environment.
[0011] Although there are other forms of grip covers, this invention has the following advantages:
[0012] It helps keep the club grips dry rather than being strictly ornamental
[0013] It helps protect the club grips from damage from objects encountered during golf.
[0014] The Grip Cover for Golf Club consists of fabric cut and sewn into a shape which fits purposefully over the grip of a golf club.
