Claims:

What is claimed is:



1. Buffing disc for cleaning hubs, comprising: a seat body having a connecting end face with a predetermined area, a shaft chamber inward extending from a center of the connecting end face by a predetermined depth to form an opening on the connecting end face; and a grinding body disposed on the connecting end face around the opening of the shaft chamber.

Buffing disc for cleaning hubs as claimed in claim 1, further comprising a pair of attachable plates which can be repeatedly attached to each other, the attachable plates being respectively disposed on the connecting end face and one face of the grinding body opposite to the connecting end face.

3. Buffing disc for cleaning hubs as claimed in claim 1, wherein the grinding body is an annular body formed with a central hole communicating with the opening of the shaft chamber.

Buffing disc for cleaning hubs as claimed in claim 3, wherein the grinding body includes an annular substrate and an annular buffing plate with a predetermined thickness, one face of the substrate being connected with the connecting end face, the buffing plate being attached to the other face of the substrate.

5. Buffing disc for cleaning hubs as claimed in claim 4, wherein the seat body includes an annular stop wall outward extending from the circumference of the connecting end face, the stop wall defining a receiving space for accommodating the substrate therein.

6. Buffing disc for cleaning hubs as claimed in claim 4, wherein the grinding body further includes an annular pad body with a predetermined thickness, the pad body being disposed between the substrate and the connecting end face.

7. Buffing disc for cleaning hubs as claimed in claim 4, wherein the grinding body has a buffing plane face on one face of the buffing plate opposite to the substrate.

8. Buffing disc for cleaning hubs as claimed in claim 7, wherein the grinding body has at least one chip-expelling notch formed on outer circumference of the buffing plate.

9. Buffing disc for cleaning hubs as claimed in claim 4, wherein the grinding body further includes an annular buffing face formed on inner circumference of the buffing plate.

10. Buffing disc for cleaning hubs as claimed in claim 1, wherein the seat body has multiple inclined grooves formed on a wall of the shaft chamber and inward extending from the circumference of the opening, the depths of the inclined grooves being gradually reduced.

11. Buffing disc for cleaning hubs as claimed in claim 10, wherein the seat body has several ribs defined between adjacent inclined grooves.

12. Buffing disc for cleaning hubs as claimed in claim 10 or 11, wherein open ends of the inclined grooves are formed on the connecting end face and covered by the grinding body.

13. Buffing disc for cleaning hubs as claimed in claim 1, wherein the seat body further include a holder section, a dome section being engaged with one end of the holder section, whereby the shaft chamber inward extends from the open end of the holder section into the dome section.

14. Buffing disc for cleaning hubs as claimed in claim 13, wherein an extension sleeve with a certain length is connected between the holder section and the dome section, two ends of the extension sleeve being respectively engaged with the holder section and the dome section.

15. Buffing disc for cleaning hubs as claimed in claim 1, wherein the seat body further includes a transmission shaft fixedly disposed on the other end of the seat body opposite to the connecting end face.

Description:

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention is related to a measure for servicing a car, and more particularly to a buffing disc for cleaning hubs.

[0002] There is no suitable tool for a serviceman to clean a hub. In general, a serviceman simply uses a sandpaper or grinding wheel to clean the surface of the hub. This can hardly achieve optimal working efficiency and effect.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0003] It is therefore a primary object of the present invention to provide a buffing disc for cleaning hubs. The buffing disc is adapted to the hub so that the buffing efficiency and quality can be enhanced.

[0004] It is a further object of the present invention to provide the above buffing disc for cleaning hubs. The buffing disc includes a grinding body capable of fully buffing the hub. The grinding body is replaceable as necessary.

[0005] It is still a further object of the present invention to provide the above buffing disc for cleaning hubs, which is applicable to different types of hubs for achieving quickly buffing effect.

[0006] It is still a further object of the present invention to provide the above buffing disc for cleaning hubs, which is able to collect the waste impurities produced during buffing operation so as not to affect the buffing operation.

[0007] It is still a further object of the present invention to provide the above buffing disc for cleaning hubs, which is able to expel the waste impurities produced during buffing operation so as to keep a good buffing effect.

[0008] According to the above objects, the buffing disc for cleaning hubs includes a seat body and a grinding plate body. The seat body has a connecting end face with a predetermined area. A shaft chamber inward extends from a center of the connecting end face by a predetermined depth to form an opening on the connecting end face. The grinding body is disposed on the connecting end face around the opening of the shaft chamber.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0017] Please refer to FIGS. 1 to 3. According to a first embodiment, the buffing disc 10 for cleaning hubs of the present invention is composed of a seat body 20, a grinding body 30 and a pair of attachable plates 40.

[0018] The seat body 20 is a hard bell-shaped body made of polymer material. The seat body 20 has a circular connecting end face 21. An annular stop wall 22 outward extends from the circumference of the connecting end face 21 by a certain height. A shaft chamber 23 inward extends from the curvature center of the connecting end face 21 by a certain depth, whereby the center of the connecting end face 21 is formed with an opening 231 of the chamber. Multiple inclined grooves 24 are formed on the wall of the shaft chamber 23 and inward extend from the circumference of the opening 231. The depths of the inclined grooves 24 are gradually reduced. Several ribs 25 are defined between the adjacent inclined grooves 24. A transmission shaft 26 is fixedly disposed on the other end of the seat body 20 opposite to the connecting end face 21. The transmission shaft 26 coaxially corresponds to the curvature center of the connecting end face 21.

[0019] The grinding body 30 includes a hard annular substrate 31 and an annular buffing plate 32 having a certain thickness. One face of the buffing plate 32 is fixedly connected on a corresponding face of the substrate 31. The buffing plate 32 has a buffing plane face 33 opposite to the substrate 31. An annular buffing face 34 is formed on inner circumference of the buffing plate 32. Four chip-expelling notches 35 are formed on the outer circumference of the buffing plate 32 at equal intervals.

[0020] The attachable plates 40 include a loop plate 41 and a hook plate 42 attachable to each other. The loop plate 41 and hook plate 42 are respectively fixedly attached to the connecting end face 21 and the face of the substrate 31 opposite to the buffing plate 32.

[0021] By means of the attachable plates 40, the grinding body 30 can be tightly connected with the seat body 20. The substrate 31 is snugly inserted in a circular receiving space defined by the stop wall 22, whereby the grinding body 30 is accurately and firmly connected with the seat body 20. When suffering a great transverse external force, the attachable plates 40 are prevented from detaching from each other.

[0022] In use of the buffing disc 10, by means of a general pneumatic tool or electric tool, via the transmission shaft 26, the seat body 20 is rotated. Accordingly, the grinding body 30 can buff a hub.

[0023] The present invention has the following advantages:

[0024] 1. The shaft chamber 23 of the buffing disc 10 can snugly accommodate therein the projecting body of the hub. The buffing plane face 33 of the grinding body 30 can attach to the annular face of the hub and buff the face. At the same time, the annular buffing face 34 of the inner circumference of the buffing plate 32 surrounds the projecting body of the hub and buffs the circumference of the projecting body. Accordingly, the buffing disc 10 can quickly buff the hub.

[0025] 2. When buffing the hub with the buffing disc 10, the produced waste impurities can be moved out from the contact faces of the buffing plate 32 and the hub in two manners. One is that the impurities are exhausted through the chip-expelling notches 35. The other is that the impurities are moved through the central hole of the buffing plate 32 into the shaft chamber 23. Under rotation of the seat body 20, the centrifugal force will collect the waste impurities in the inclined grooves 24. After the buffing operation is completed, the impurities are cleared off. Accordingly, the buffing disc 10 is able to perform the buffing operation with high quality.

[0026] 3. Via the attachable plates 40, the grinding body 30 is replaceably connected with the seat body 20. Therefore, when the buffing plate 32 is worn out and needs to replace, it is easy to renew the buffing plate 32. During replacement, an operator's fingers can extend into the inclined grooves 24 to have a better force application point so as to conveniently remove the grinding body 30 from the seat body 20.

[0027] 4. The inclined grooves 24 also help in reducing the weight of the seat body 20.

[0028] 5. The ribs 25 serve to support the grinding body 30, whereby during buffing operation, the grinding body 30 can fully attach to the buffed face.

[0029] FIGS. 4 to 6 show a second embodiment of the present invention, in which the buffing disc 10′ is substantially identical to the first embodiment. The second embodiment is different from the first embodiment in that the second embodiment is adapted to a hub with longer projecting length. In addition to the substrate 31′ and buffing plate 32′, the grinding body 30′ of the second embodiment further includes an annular pad body 36′ connected between the substrate 31′ and the connecting end face 21′ for elongating the length of the buffing disc 10′ to accommodate a longer hub. Two faces of the pad body 36′ are respectively connected with the connecting end face 21′ and the substrate 31′ by means of the attachable plates 40′.

[0030] FIG. 7 shows a third embodiment of the present invention, in which the seat body 20″ further includes a holder section 201″. One end of an extension sleeve 202″ with a certain length is engaged with the holder section 201″. A dome section 203″ is engaged with the other end of the sleeve 202″. Accordingly, in accordance with actual requirement, by means of the sleeve 202″, the depth of the shaft chamber 23″ of the seat body 20″ can be changed to meet the requirement.
