[0023] Referring to FIG. 1 of the drawings, a displayable jewelry box according to a first preferred embodiment of the present invention is illustrated, wherein the displayable jewelry box comprises a case body 10 and an enveloping sheet 20 wrapped on the case body 10.

[0024] The case body 10 has an exterior surface 11, an interior surface 12, a interior chamber 13 defining within the interior surface 12, and an opening 14 communicating with the interior chamber 13, so as to define at least an opening edge 15 formed along the interior chamber 13.

[0025] The enveloping sheet 20 has at least an interior protective layer 21 and a cover layer 22 attached to the exterior surface 11 of the case body 10, wherein the protective layer 21 of the enveloping sheet 20 is integrally extended from the cover layer 22 thereof to form an integral piece of the enveloping sheet 20. Thus, the cover layer 22 is preferred to have a size and shaped to cover the entire exterior surface 11 of the case body 10.

[0026] The displayable jewelry box further comprises a receiving arrangement 30 provided on the case body 10 for receiving the protective layer 21 of the enveloping sheet 20 into the interior chamber 13 so as to tensely retain the cover layer 22 of the enveloping sheet 20 on the exterior surface 11 of the case body 10.

[0027] According to the preferred embodiment, the case body 10, having a rectangular shape, comprises four boundary walls 101 to form the interior chamber 13 within the boundary walls 101 wherein the opening edge 15 is defined at a top edge of each of the boundary walls 101.

[0028] The displayable jewelry box further comprises a cover body 40 mounted on the case body 10 for enclosing the interior chamber 13. The cover body 40 is pivotally connected to the case body 10 via a conventional pivot hinge 41, as shown in FIG. 2. Alternatively, the cover body 40 is detachably mounted on the case body 10 as shown in FIG. 5.

[0029] The cover layer 22 of the enveloping sheet 20 is defined at an enclosing area thereof covering the exterior surface 11 of the case body 10 and the protective layer 21 of the enveloping sheet 20 is defined at the rest of the enclosing area thereof which is an excessive portion of the enveloping sheet 20. The enveloping sheet 20 can be made of any sheet-like material such as fabric or leather wherein a decorative pattern is capable of printing on the cover layer 22 of the enveloping sheet 20 for enhancing the aesthetic appearance of the displayable jewelry box. Moreover, a cushion pad is adapted to be attached to the enveloping sheet 20 between the cover layer 22 thereof and the exterior surface of the case body 10 so as to provide a soft-touch feeling of the displayable jewelry box of the present invention.

[0030] The receiving arrangement 30 has at least an elongated groove 31 extended from the opening edge 15 of the case body 10 for communicating the interior chamber 13 with outside wherein the protective layer 21 of the enveloping sheet 20 is foldably received in the interior chamber 13 through the elongated groove 31. Accordingly, the elongated groove 31 has a predetermined width adapted for the protective layer 21 of the enveloping sheet 20 passing therethrough.

[0031] As shown in FIG. 2, the receiving arrangement 30 has four elongated grooves 31 respectively provided at corner edges of the case body 10 wherein each of the elongated grooves 31 is a through groove downwardly extended from the opening edge 15 of the case body 10. Furthermore, the enveloping sheet 20 has four protective layers 21 provided at four corner portions thereof so as to fold the protective layers 21 to the interior chamber 13 through the elongated grooves 31 respectively.

[0032] As shown in FIG. 3, the present invention further provides a process of attaching the enveloping sheet 20 on the case body 10, which comprises the following steps.

[0033] (1) Provide the case body 10 wherein the corner edges of the case body 10 are transversely cut from the opening edge 15 to form the elongated grooves 31 of the receiving arrangement 30 respectively.

[0034] (2) Attach the enveloping sheet 20 on the case body 10 by aligning the cover layer 22 of the enveloping sheet 20 on the exterior surface 11 of the case body 10.

[0035] (3) Fold each protective layer 21 of the enveloping sheet 20 into the interior chamber 13 through the respective elongated body 10 in such a manner that the cover layer 22 of the enveloping sheet 20 is tensely overlapped on the exterior surface 11 of the case body 10.

[0036] In step (2), in order to firmly attach the enveloping sheet 20 on the case body 20, an adhesive element such as glue is adapted to evenly applied on the cover layer 22 of the enveloping sheet 20 and/or the exterior surface 11 of the case body 10.

[0037] In step (3), after the cover layer 22 of the enveloping sheet 20 is aligned with the exterior surface 11 of the case body 10, the protective layer 21 of the enveloping sheet 20 is arranged to be pulled into the interior chamber 13 of the case body 10 through the elongated groove 31 of the receiving arrangement 30. Therefore, no cut is required on the enveloping sheet 20 to fit the cover layer 22 on the exterior surface 11 of the case body 10, so as to reduce the manufacturing process of the displayable jewelry box.

[0038] Moreover, while pulling the protective layer 21 into the interior chamber 13 of the case body 10, the cover layer 22 is correspondingly stretched in a tension manner so as to fittedly overlap on the exterior surface 11 of the case body 10. Therefore, no fold or wrinkle of the enveloping sheet 20 is formed on the case body 10. It is worth to mention that even the case body 10 has a round corner, the cover layer 22 of the enveloping sheet 20 is fittedly and overlappedly attached on the exterior surface 11 of the case body 10 since the excessive portion (protective layer 21) of the enveloping sheet 20 is folded into the interior chamber 13 of the case body 10.

[0039] For holding the protective layer 21 in the interior chamber 13 in position, the protective layer 21 is firmly attached to the interior surface 12 of the case body 10 by glue so as to retain the cover layer 22 of the enveloping sheet 20 on the exterior surface 11 of the case body 10.
