Title:
Umbrella water control
Kind Code:
A1

Abstract:
The “Umbrella Water Control” is a gutter and tube affixed to the base of the umbrella (awning) cover. The gutter is snapped onto the base of the umbrella which channels the water falling on the umbrella through the tube. The gutter is made of plastic and nylon. The tube, also made of plastic, is made long enough to extend pass the stick of the umbrella. This allows the holder to direct where the water flows is deposited.

Description:

SUMMARY OF INVENTION

[0001] It is an objective of this invention to avoid wetting others around you with the flow of water from the umbrella.

[0002] It is another objective of the invention to provide an apparatus which is inexpensive to manufacture.

[0003] Yet another objective of the invention is to provide an apparatus that is easy to put in place (affix).

[0004] Also another objective is that this invention can be used with existing products (umbrella/awnings)

[0005] The umbrella protects you from the rain. However, when it rains at the game while you are in the stands or in a tight spot surrounded by people the umbrella becomes a nuisance. It drains water all over the people next to you. With this added invention the water running off the umbrella can be controlled or channeled by a tube which allows the water to flow to the ground avoid wetting others.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWING

[0006] V and Y—is like a gutter made with nylon with a light rubbery stretch sticking from the inner side of the umbrella to the outside of the umbrella which will collect the water. A light rubbery stretch, so that it can be closed with the umbrella.

[0007] W—is the frame to hold V and Y in place. The inner end of W is made like a clip that is snapped/locked on to 1 ( reference Fig. 1).

[0008] X—is a tube which funnels the water from V and Y.

[0009] Z—where the four tube joins into one and then extends towards the ground. It is also fastened to the sliding part on the stick of the umbrella so it can move up and down.

[0010] V—is the other side of Y that sticks to the inside of the umbrella so it can be evenly distributed on either side. This will allow the water to move to the middle of the water controller.

[0011] Reference FIG. 2 is made like an antenna that flip up and down plus open to keep the X part going to the ground in one position.
