Abstract:
A back leaning shoe shape has a shoe mold of increased height and waistline that is formed on the basis of practical applications to prevent the phalanx from directly rubbing against the shoe surface. The shoe mold leans backward by an predetermined angle between 5 to 25 degrees and has a height of at least 5 inches. The back leaning shoe shape is used for special applications to prevent hurting muscles or bones of wearer when it is worn for a long period.

Claims:

What is claimed is:



1. A back leaning shoe shape comprising a shoe mold having increased height and waistline for preventing a phalanx from directly rubbing against a shoe surface, said shoe mold leaning backward by a predetermined angle and having a height of at least 5 inches.

2. The back leaning shoe shape as claimed in claim 1, wherein said shoe mold is made of a foamed material.

3. The back leaning shoe shape as claimed in claim 1, wherein said shoe mold leans backward by an angle between 5 to 25 degrees.

4. The back leaning shoe shape as claimed in claim 3, wherein said shoe mold leans backward by an angle between 8 to 18 degrees.

Description:

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to a shoe shape, and more particularly to a back leaning shoe shape for preventing hurting muscles or bones of a wearer when it is worn for a long period.

[0002] Conventional shoes that are used in sports, such as diving and water skiing, are usually made in a straight shape. Wearers of the conventional sport shoes must make use of the elasticity of the fabrics that make the shoes to make themselves comfortable only by leaning their bodies backward to extend the length of their insteps. However, this approach is not capable to meet the practical demand of wearers and has the following disadvantages:

[0003] As shown in FIG. 1 of the attached drawings, the angle of the movement does not correspond to the shoe shape angle of the conventional shoe shape 10 and, therefore, creates a large gap 11 on a side of the shank. Further, most of such shoe shapes have a thick rubber piece 13, about 2 mm, on the instep 12 to prevent direct friction between the instep 12 and the fin pocket, and, thus, increase the resistance when the body leans backward.

[0004] When the body leans backward, the redundant heel material of the conventional shoe shape 10 heaps around the bending position 14 of the heel and makes wearers uncomfortable. Most of the shoe shapes 25 have a heelpiece 15 with a thickness of 2 mm to prevent the fin strap from squeezing directly. However, such design facilitates the heaping of redundant material at the joint of soft and hard materials and the friction between the material and the skin.

[0005] When the body leans backward, the conventional shoe shape 10 rises up partially at the position around the phalanx, especially between the second and third phalanxes, causing a friction between the skin of the phalanx and the fabric of the shoes and, as a result, a red and swollen skin.

[0006] To alleviate these disadvantages, the present invention provides a back leaning shoe shape for preventing hurting muscles or bones of wearer when it is worn for a long period.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0007] A primary object of the present invention is to provide a back leaning shoe shape formed by leaning the shoe mold backward by a predetermined angle on the basis of practical applications and increasing the height and the waistline of the shoe mold to prevent the phalanx from directly rubbing against the shoe surface.

[0008] Another object of the present invention is to provide a back leaning shoe shape to reduce damage to muscles or bones to the minimum when the shoe is worn for a long period.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0015] With reference to the drawings and in particular to FIG. 4, a back leaning shoe shape 31 in accordance with the present invention comprises a shoe mold 32 having an increased height and waistline formed on the basis of practical applications to prevent the rise at the position around the phalanx from directly rubbing against the shoe surface. The shoe mold 32 leans backward by a certain angle and has a height 33 greater than 5 inches.

[0016] In a perfect embodiment of the present invention, the aforementioned back leaning shoe shape 31 is made of a foam or other similar materials, such as rubber foam, for waterproof and thermal insulation.

[0017] In accordance with the present invention, the shoe mold 32 of the back leaning shoe shape 31 leans backward an angle between 5 to 25 degrees, preferably between 8 to 18 degrees.

[0018] As shown in FIGS. 2 to 4, the backward leaning configuration of the shoe mold 32 allow the shoe shape 31 of the present invention to be more adaptive to practical applications of sport requirements. The backward leaning angle as mentioned previously is preferably between 8 to 18 degrees. This angle is selected to take both the practical applications and the requirement for a person wearing the shoe 31 to stand up into consideration. Thus, the preferred range of backward leaning angle selected in accordance with the present invention makes the shoe shape 31 capable to adapt to different environments.

[0019] The selection of the backward leaning angle of the shoe mold 32 is substantially equal to or close to the angle required between ankle and sole of the wearer in practical applications. Such a backward leaning makes the ankle and sole of the wear comfort in practical uses.

[0020] As shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, when diving with diving shoes having the conventional shoe shape, a wearer must straighten up the whole legs in order to effectively move the thighs for driving himself or herself forward. The wearer must stretch his or her muscle in order to “straighten” the soles and shanks. Thus a wearer must apply force to both straighten his or her leg and swing the leg reciprocally. The muscles are thus strained and may be damaged easily.

[0021] Contrary to the conventional shoe shape discussed above, the back leaning shoe shape 31 of the present invention has an increased height and waistline 32 to prevent the rise at the position around the phalanx from directly rubbing against the shoe surface. Most of the shoe shapes that are conventionally available in the market are made of knitted nylon fabrics that effectively reduce the likelihood of damage caused by friction. When the length of the instep is increased, the length of the heel shall be shortened to reduce redundant cloth. Further, the back leaning design increases the angle required, reduces the space and increases the width for the heel. The sizes of all these parts are adjusted on the basis of practical applications to improve the comfort and reduce the hurt of muscles and bones after being worn for a long period.

[0022] Although the substantial functions and uniqueness of the present invention have been illustrated and described with reference to the preferred embodiment thereof, it is under stood that it is in no way limited to the details of such embodiment but is capable of numerous modifications within the scope of the appended claims.
