[0001] 1. Field of Invention
[0002] The present invention relates to the field of cosmetic holder, in particular cosmetic holder that is uniquely designed to serve the purpose of holding multiple cosmetic products in a compact space and at the same time be attractive.
[0003] 2. Description of the Related Art
[0004] Lipsticks and lipstick holders have been around for a long time. These days it is very common and popular for users of cosmetics to carry multiple lipsticks generally with different colors. It is also common for users of cosmetics to carry in their purse or pocket lipsticks and a variety of other rod-shaped cosmetic products, e.g., mascara brushes and liquid eyeliners. It thus becomes increasingly desirable to have a cosmetic holder that is capable of organizing multiple cosmetic products in as little space as possible. As users of cosmetics also tend to live a stylish way, it is also desirable that such cosmetic holder is attractive.
[0005] It is aware that different cosmetic organizer or holder systems have been proposed for users to carry multiple cosmetic products at a same time. For example, U.S. Pat. Nos. 2,552,714 and 5,715,848. However, their design is far too complicated compared to a single lipstick and substantial spaces can be wasted when a substantial number of cosmetic products are not needed or used. Their complicated looking can also discourage a user to use such cosmetic holders.
[0006] It is noted that there was a proposed dual pen-holder (U.S. Pat. No. 6,022,159), however, the adjacent parallel design also has the disadvantage which makes it hard to remove a single pen out of the holder. Breidenbach et al also proposed a dual ended lip cosmetic applicator (US 2002/0071707 A1). However, that cosmetic applicator (e.g., FIG. 8 and FIG. 12 in US 2002/0071707 A1) bounds the holder and the cosmetic products, so even when only one end of the cosmetic product is used up or worn away, one may need to replace the whole cosmetic package and thus introduce wastes.
[0007] Therefore, there is a need for an improved cosmetic holder that is simple and capable of holding cosmetic products in as little space as possible.
[0008] It is an object of this invention to provide a cosmetic holder for holding multiple cosmetic products in a single compact package.
[0009] It is an object of this invention to provide a unique cosmetic holder for retaining multiple lipsticks or multiple rod-shaped cosmetic products in their individual capacity at its multiple ends.
[0010] It is an object of the invention to provide a cosmetic holder with two openings at two opposite ends for receiving dual cosmetic products. A related object of the invention is to provide a rod-shaped dual ended cosmetic holder for holding dual preferably rod-shaped cosmetic products. And the dual cosmetic products then, after being received by the cosmetic holder, appear like one single-piece rod-like cosmetic product.
[0011] A further object of the invention is to provide a cosmetic package for housing multiple cosmetic products, such that each one of the cosmetic products could be individually replaceable without changing the whole package.
[0012] The above and other objects, features and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following description and accompanying drawings.

[0028] Thus there has been provided a lipstick holder designed to simultaneously retain multiple cosmetic products. The lipstick holder is designed and constructed in a way such that when it holds dual rod-like cosmetic products, it appears as one single-piece rod-shaped cosmetic product. Such lipstick holder will allow a user of cosmetics to conveniently carry and use multiple cosmetic products. Such lipstick holder when provided with cosmetic products will allow a merchant to sell multiple cosmetic products at a same time. It is understood that the present invention is not limited to the exact construction illustrated and described herein, and variations and modifications may be readily occur to those skilled in the art without departing from the scope of the present invention.
