Abstract:
A chair folding structure comprises two handles being divided into two pivotal sections for being assembled with two front and rear chair legs; each of the rear chair leg being firmly secured to a first and a second axial connecting portion; a first shaft being axially connected to the axial covers connected with two connecting rods and sliding covers movable along the rear leg; a third axial connecting portion is installed on the sliding covers adjacent to the axial connecting covers; a back frame being assembled between the two handles; the back frame having two lateral rods assembled to the third axial connecting portion and a first joint rod set connected to the lateral rods. A force is applied to the first joint rod set to drive the two lateral rods to push the third axial connecting portion. Thereby, the sliding cover moves along the rear leg. Meanwhile, by the front leg, the driven rod is rotatable to drive the front chair leg by pivotally connecting the second axial means to move toward the rear leg. The front and rear legs are drawn close to each other by the pivotal sections in the handle. Therefore, the object of folding the chair at the four sides is achieved.

Claims:

What is claimed is:



1. A chair folding structure comprising: two handles being divided into two pivotal sections for being assembled with two front and rear chair legs; each of the rear chair leg being firmly secured to a first and a second axial connecting portion; a first shaft being axially connected to the axial covers connected with two connecting rods and sliding covers movable along the rear leg; a third axial connecting portion is installed on the sliding covers adjacent to the axial connecting covers; a back frame being assembled between the two handles; the back frame having two lateral rods to the third axial connecting portion and a first joint rod set connected to the lateral rods; wherein a force is applied to the first joint rod set to drive the two lateral rods to push the third axial connecting portion, thereby, the sliding cover moves along the rear leg; meanwhile; by the front leg, the driven rod rotates to drive the front chair leg by pivotally connecting the second axial means to move toward the rear leg; the front and rear legs are drawn close to each other by the pivotal sections in the handle, therefore, the object of folding the chair at the four sides is achieved.

2. The chair folding structure as claimed in claim 1, wherein the first joint rod set includes at least two first movable rods pivotally connected to the lateral rods and a first connecting rods pivotally connected to the first movable rods.

The chair folding structure as claimed in claim 1, wherein a joint rod set is installed between the two front legs; the rod set includes at least two second movable rods pivotally connected to the front legs and a second connecting rods pivotally connected to the second movable rods; two ends of the second movable rod have second wings disposed across the second movable rods.

4. The chair folding structure as claimed in claim 2, wherein the first connecting rod is installed with a holding cover for being held by hands.

5. The chair folding structure as claimed in claim 3, wherein the second connecting rod is installed with a holding cover for being held by hands.

6. The chair folding structure as claimed in claim 1, wherein a fourth axial connecting cover is installed on the sliding covers; the fourth axial connecting portion is assembled with an auxiliary driven rod axially connected through a second axial device.

7. The chair folding structure as claimed in claim 1, wherein any of the lateral rods of the frame is installed with a safety buckle which is separated from the stud buckle installed on the rear leg with respect to the safety buckle.

Description:

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to a chair folding structure, and particularly to a structure by which a chair can be folded from four sides completely.

[0002] Referring to FIG. 1, the conventional chair: “a frame of a foldable chair” is illustrated. Two sides of the foldable chair are pivotally installed with a frame for installing the chair seat. Two sides of the chair seat are pivotally installed to a chair back by two pivotal plates. Thereby, the seat and chair back can be opened or closed along a pivotal plate. The chair frame has a front leg, a rear leg, and a handle. Thus, the front and rear legs can be pivotally installed to the lateral sides of the chair seat. Other than installing the top ends of the front and rear legs, the rear end of the handle is pivotally installed to the lateral side of the chair back. By a pair of inner and outer lateral walls at the bottom of the handle, and a spacing rib at each of the lateral wall near the rear center end, the top of the front leg is pivotally installed between the two lateral walls near the front end. Therefore, the front leg is between the rib and the inner lateral wall. The top of the rear leg is pivotally installed to the outer lateral wall and the rib of the handle, and the rear leg is confined to a place near the outer lateral wall. When the foldable chair is to be folded, the front and rear legs of the chair frame closes the bottom of the handle. Thereby, after the front and rear legs are folded, the lateral sides are overlapped so that the width thereof can be reduced effectively.

[0003] However, the prior art design only reduces the thickness of the chair, but the height thereof can not be reduced due to the components thereof. Therefore, the volume reduction of the foldable chair is very finite.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0004] Accordingly, the primary object of the present invention is to provide a chair folding structure comprising two handles being divided into two pivotal sections for being assembled with two front and rear chair legs; each of the rear chair leg being firmly secured to a first and a second axial connecting portion; a first shaft being axially connected to the axial covers connected with two connecting rods and sliding covers, movable along the rear leg; a third axial connecting portion being installed on the sliding covers adjacent to the axial connecting covers; a back frame being assembled between the two handles; the back frame having two lateral rods assembled to the third axial connecting portion and a first joint rod set connected to the lateral rods. A force is applied to the first joint rod set to drive two lateral rods to push the third axial connecting portion. Thereby, the sliding cover moves along the rear leg; meanwhile. By the front leg, the driven rod is rotatable to drive the front chair leg by pivotally connecting the second axial means to move toward the rear leg. The front and rear legs are drawn close to each other by the pivotal sections in the handle. Therefore, the object of folding the chair at the four sides is achieved.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0012] Referring to FIGS. 2 and 3A, a perspective view and a rear view after folding of the present invention are illustrated. As shown in figures, in the present invention, two handles 1 are divided into two pivotal sections 11, 12 for assembled with two front and rear chair legs 2, 3. A joint rod set 4 is installed between the two front legs 2. The rod set 4 includes at least two second movable rods 41 pivotally connected to the front legs 2 and a second connecting rods 42 pivotally connected to the second movable rods 41. Two ends of the second movable rod 41 have respective second wings 421 across the second movable rods 41. Each of the rear chair leg 3 is firmly secured to a first and a second axial connecting portion 311, 321. A first shaft 331 is axially connected to the axial covers 31, 31′ connected with two connecting rods 33, 33′ and sliding covers 32, 32′ movable along the rear leg 3. A third axial connecting portion 322 is installed on the sliding covers 32, 32′ adjacent to the axial connecting covers 31, 31′. A fourth axial connecting cover 323 is installed on the sliding covers 32, 32′. The fourth axial connecting portion 323 is assembled with an auxiliary driven rod 22 axially connected through a second axial device 21. A back frame 5 is assembled between the two handles 1. The back frame 5 has two lateral rods 51, 51′ assembled to the third axial connecting portion 322 and a first joint rod set 52 connected to the lateral rods 51, 51′. The first joint rod set 52 includes at least two first movable rods 521 pivotally connected to the lateral rods 51, 51′ and a first connecting rods 522 pivotally connected to the first movable rod 521.

[0013] Referring to FIGS. 3A, 3B, 4A, and 4B, a schematic view showing the folding operation of the present invention. As shown in the figures, any lateral rods 51, 51′ of the frame 5 is installed with a safety buckle 53. It is separated from the stud buckle 531 installed on the rear leg 3 with respect to the safety buckle 531. In the present invention, a first and a second connecting rod 522, 42 are installed with holding covers 43, 524 capable of being held by hands. If a force applied to the holding covers 43, 524, the first and second connecting rods 522, 42 will be lifted upwards. Now the first and second movable rods 521, 41 are driven by the first and second connecting rods 522, 42 so as to be axially connected to the lateral rods 51, 51′ and axially rotated along the front leg 2 to moves toward the inner side to apply a force to the front leg 2 synchronously, as illustrated in FIGS. 5A, 5B and 5C. When the connecting rods 33, 33′ rotates along the first axial means 331. One end thereof is axially connected to the first axial connecting portion 311 of the axial connecting covers 31, 31′, and another end thereof is axially connected to the second axial connecting portion 321 of the sliding covers 32, 32′. Thereby, as the axial rods 33, 33′ rotate axially, the sliding covers 32, 32′ are driven at the same time to move downwards. Now the legs 2, 3 will be driven by the connecting rods 33, 33′ to move inwards. The driven rod 22 is connected to the fourth connecting portion 323 of the sliding cover 32, 32′ to move downwards. By the front leg 2, the driven rod 22 is rotatable to drive the front chair leg 2 by pivotally connecting the second axial means 21 to move toward the rear leg 3. The front and rear legs 2, 3 are drawn close to each other by the pivotal sections 11, 12 in the handle 1, as illustrated in FIG. 6. Therefore, the object of folding the chair at the four sides is achieved.
