Claims:

What is claimed is:

1. Seat/bed pad structure comprising a number of granules tightly serially connected with each other by strings, said seat/bed pad structure being characterized in that each granule is formed with a central hole, the periphery of the granule being formed with opposite small circular holes for the strings to pass therethrough and ventilation holes with larger diameter.

2. Seat/bed pad structure as claimed in claim 1, wherein the granule is a polygonal body or a short cylindrical body.

Description:

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention is related to an improved seat/bed pad structure which is able to provide a comfortable sitting and lying feeling and an excellent ventilation effect.

[0002] A seat pad or bed pad is placed on a chair or a bed to achieve ventilation effect and comfort a user when sitting or lying. FIGS. 1 and 2 show conventional seat/bed pad structures 1. In FIG. 1, the seat/bed pad is composed of a number of knobs 30 longitudinally and latitudinally connected by strings 20. Multiple beads 31 are serially connected between each two adjacent knobs 30 to form a mesh-like seat/bed pad 1. Such seat/bed pad 1 has considerably large meshes 41 so that when sitting or lying thereon, the skin and muscle of a user will deeply sink into the meshes 41 and the user will feel uncomfortable. Moreover, the skin and muscle of the user will be almost totally sealed in the meshes 41 so that little ventilation effect can be achieved. In FIG. 2, the seat/bed pad is composed of a number of knobs 30 tightly longitudinally and latitudinally connected by strings 20. Such seat/bed pad can provide more comfort for the user when sitting or lying thereon. However, the knobs 30 are solid bodies and there is nearly no gap between the knobs 30 so that no ventilation effect can be achieved. In the case that the user sits or lies on the seat/bed pad for a long time, bacteria tend to culture on the skin due to heat and humidity. This often leads to disease of the skin.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0003] It is therefore a primary object of the present invention to provide an improved seat/bed pad structure which is able to provide a comfortable sitting and lying feeling and an excellent ventilation effect. The seat/bed pad structure is composed of a number of granules tightly serially connected with each other by strings to have a large area. Each granule is formed with vertical and transverse ventilation holes.

[0004] The present invention can be best understood through the following description and accompanying drawings wherein:

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0013] Please refer to FIGS. 3 to 5. The seat/bed pad structure 1 of the present invention is composed of a number of granules 10 tightly serially connected with each other by strings 20. Each granule 10 has a basic structure as shown in FIG. 3. The granule 10 is made of plastic or acrylic or metallic material and has a form of polygonal column (octagonal column in FIG. 3). Each granule 10 is formed with a central hole 11. The opposite faces of the periphery are respectively formed with small circular holes 12 and large ventilation holes 13.

[0014] The strings 20 are passed through the small circular holes 12 of the granules 10 to longitudinally and latitudinally connect the granules 10 to form a seat/bed pad 1 as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5. The seat/bed pad 1 can be easily expanded to a desired area. Accordingly, the granules 10 are tightly serially connected to form the seat/bed pad 1 which provides a comfortable sitting and lying feeling. Moreover, the vertical central holes 11 and the interlaced transverse ventilation holes of the granules 10 help in achieving a good ventilation effect so as to minimize possibility of harm of the skin or other parts of the user's body.

[0015] FIGS. 6 to 8 show another embodiment of the granule 10 of the seat/bed pad 1 of the present invention. In FIG. 6, the granule 10 is a short cylindrical body formed with a central hole 11. The circumference of the granule 10 is formed with cross-interlaced small circular holes 12 for the string 20 to pass therethrough and ventilation holes 13 with larger diameter. Similarly, the strings 20 are one by one passed through the small circular holes 12 of the granules 10 to tightly connect the same into a seat/bed pad 1 with a large area. The seat/bed pad 1 also provides a comfortable sitting and lying feeling and a good ventilation effect.

[0016] The above embodiments are only used to illustrate the present invention, not intended to limit the scope thereof. Many modifications of the above embodiments can be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention.
