Abstract:
The present invention relates to a pedal lever distance adjusting structure mounted between a sport exercise cycle and two pedal support racks. Each of the two pedal lever support racks is provided with multiple through holes. Two adjusting tubes are each provided to mate with the pedal lever support rack, and each adjusting tube defines multiple through holes to mate with the through holes of the pedal lever support rack. An insertion pin in turn extends through the through hole of the adjusting tube, and the through hole of the pedal lever support rack. In such a manner, the distance between the pedal lever support rack and the adjusting tube can be adjusted freely, thereby facilitating adjusting the distance between two pedal levers and a human body, so that the present invention may be available for a user whose two feet have different lengths.

Claims:

What is claimed is:



1. A pedal lever distance adjusting structure of a sport exercise cycle, mounted between a sport exercise cycle that has a driving structure and two pedal support racks (20), said sport exercise cycle being driven by a driving member that includes a single direction ratchet wheel (10) co-operating with a spring (11), and said driving member being driven by a pedal lever (15) of said sport exercise cycle; wherein, each of said two pedal lever support racks (20), is pivotally provided with said pedal lever (15), and is provided with at least one first through hole (21); two adjusting tubes (30), are each secured on a front end of said sport exercise cycle, and each of said two adjusting tubes (30) axially defines a receiving channel (31) for slidably receiving a respective pedal lever support rack (20), and defines at least one second through hole (32) communicating with said receiving channel (31) and aligning with said first through hole (21) of said respective pedal lever support rack (20); and at least one insertion pin (40), in turn extends through said second through hole (32) of said adjusting tube (30), through said receiving channel (31) of said adjusting tube (30), and into said first through hole (21) of said pedal lever support rack (20).

Description:

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] 1. Field of the Invention

[0002] The present invention relates to a pedal lever distance adjusting structure for a sport exercise cycle, and more particularly to a pedal lever distance adjusting structure including pedal lever support racks, adjusting tubes, and insertion pins which may be combined to facilitate adjusting the distance between two pedal levers and a human body.

[0003] 2. Description of the Related Prior Art

[0004] A conventional auxiliary sport exercise equipment can be provided for people who cannot walk normally or fluently, such as handicapped people, patients, old people, hurt people having injured legs, etc., so that they may use the auxiliary sport exercise equipment to practice the exercise of bending or stretching their legs. In general, however, the conventional auxiliary sport exercise equipment has a fixed construction, and cannot be adjusted freely so that it cannot be available for users of different statures and lengths.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0005] The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a pedal lever distance adjusting structure for a sport exercise cycle, wherein the distance between the pedal lever support rack and the adjusting tube can be adjusted arbitrarily and easily, so that the sport exercise cycle can be adapted to fit users of different statures.

[0006] Another objective of the present invention is to provide a pedal lever distance adjusting structure for a sport exercise cycle, wherein each of the two pedal lever support racks can be respectively moved relative to the adjusting tube, whereby the two pedal lever support racks may be located at different positions, and the two pedal levers may be located at different positions, so that the sport exercise cycle can be adapted to fit a user whose two legs have different lengths.

[0007] In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a pedal lever distance adjusting structure of a sport exercise cycle, mounted between a sport exercise cycle that has a driving structure and two pedal support racks, the sport exercise cycle being driven by a driving member that includes a single direction ratchet wheel co-operating with a spring, and the driving member being driven by a pedal lever of the sport exercise cycle; wherein, each of the two pedal lever support racks, is pivotally provided with the pedal lever, and is provided with at least one first through hole; two adjusting tubes, are each secured on a front end of the sport exercise cycle, and each of the two adjusting tubes axially defines a receiving channel for slidably receiving a respective pedal lever support rack, and defines at least one second through hole communicating with the receiving channel and aligning with the first through hole of the respective pedal lever support rack; and at least one insertion pin, in turn extends through the second through hole of the adjusting tube, through the receiving channel of the adjusting tube, and into the first through hole of the pedal lever support rack.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0013] Referring to FIGS. 1-4, a pedal lever distance adjusting structure in accordance with the present invention is used for a sport exercise cycle. The sport exercise cycle includes a frame 13, two rear wheels 14 each mounted on the frame 13, two pedal levers 15 each pivotally mounted on a respective one of two pedal lever support racks 20, two single direction ratchet wheels 10 each mounted on the rear wheel 14, two chains 12 each mounted on the single direction ratchet wheel 10 and each having a first end connected to a wire 16 which is connected to the pedal lever 15, and a second end connected to a spring 11 which is also connected to the pedal lever 15. The two chains 12 each having a spring 11 and a wire 16 are driven by the two pedal levers 15 of the sport exercise cycle, so as to drive the frame 13 and the rear wheels 14. In such a manner, the two pedal levers 15 are pushed forward by the two feet of the user to pivot outward relative to the pedal lever support racks 20, and can then be pulled rearward by the restoring force of the spring 11, such that the user can practice the exercise of bending or stretching his legs.

[0014] The pedal lever distance adjusting structure of the present invention is mounted on the sport exercise cycle and comprises two pedal lever support racks 20, two adjusting tubes 30, and two insertion pins 40.

[0015] Each of the two pedal lever support racks 20 is pivotally mounted with a pedal lever 15, and is provided with a plurality of first through holes 21.

[0016] Each of the two adjusting tubes 30 is secured on the front end of the frame 13 of the sport exercise cycle. Each of the two adjusting tubes 30 axially defines a receiving channel 31 for slidably receiving the pedal lever support rack 20 therein, and transversely defines a plurality of second through holes 32 each communicating with the receiving channel 31 and each aligning with the first through hole 21 of the pedal lever support rack 20.

[0017] Each of the two insertion pins 40 extends through one of the second through holes 32 of the adjusting tube 30, through the receiving channel 31 of the adjusting tube 30, and is inserted into one of the first through holes 21 of the pedal lever support rack 20 for adjustably securing the pedal lever support rack 20 to the adjusting tube 30.

[0018] In assembly and operation, each of the two pedal lever support racks 20 can be axially retracted into or extended outward from the receiving channel 31 of the corresponding adjusting tube 30 by removing the insertion pin 40 to adjust the position of the pedal lever 15 so as to fit the requirements of the user.

[0019] In such a manner, the distance between the pedal lever support rack 20 and the adjusting tube 30 can be adjusted arbitrarily and easily, so that the sport exercise cycle can be adapted to fit users of different statures. In addition, each of the two pedal lever support racks 20 can be respectively moved relative to the corresponding adjusting tube 30, whereby the two pedal lever support racks 20 may be located at two different positions as shown in FIG. 4, and the two pedal levers 15 may also be located at two different positions, so that the sport exercise cycle can be adapted to fit a user whose two legs have different lengths.

[0020] Therefore, the user may arbitrarily change the respective extending and retracting positions of the two pedal lever support racks 20 and the two adjusting tubes 30, so that each of the two pedal levers 15 may have its optimal position individually. Namely, the distance between the human body and each of the two pedal levers 15 may be freely adjusted individually and respectively.

[0021] Accordingly, the present invention relates to a pedal lever distance adjusting structure mounted between a sport exercise cycle and two pedal support racks. Each of the two pedal lever support racks is provided with multiple through holes. Two adjusting tubes are each provided to mate with the pedal lever support rack, and each adjusting tube defines multiple through holes to mate with the through holes of the pedal lever support rack. An insertion pin in turn extends through the through hole of the adjusting tube, and the through hole of the pedal lever support rack for adjustably securing the pedal lever support rack on the adjusting tube. In such a manner, the distance between the pedal lever support rack and the adjusting tube can be adjusted freely, thereby facilitating adjusting the distance between two pedal levers and the human body, such that the present invention may be available for a user whose two feet have different lengths.
