The specific way of attaching may be varied. For example, as exemplified in FIG. 4, cover 3 may comprise a pair of attaching means 7 with a velcro-like surface for attaching cover 3 to headrest 2 and visor 1.

[0054] Another embodiment of the present invention, as exemplified in FIG. 5, comprises a cover 30 for covering a headrest 20, wherein the cover 30 is inflatable. The size, shape and location of the inflation of cover 30 may be varied as needed. The material used to inflate may be air, liquid, or another type of material, as needed.

[0055] Inflation means 80 and 90 is for inflating the cover. The particular size, shape, and type of inflation means may also be varied, as needed. For example, inflation means 80 may be blown up manually by a user, whereas inflation means 90 may be hooked up to an artificial inflation means (e.g., air bag system). Moreover, just as an example, the size and amount of automatic inflation (in case of an accident, for example) may also be predetermined and adjusted by a user to optimize and customize the characteristic of inflation for different users and/or for different circumstances.

[0056] As in the above-described embodiments, the cover 30 may comprise a plurality of openings, wherein at least one of the plurality of openings—opening 50 in FIG. 5—provides an opening through which headrest 20 is inserted and covered. Also, as in the above-described embodiments, the opening 50 may comprise an elastic member 60.

[0057] Alternatively, as exemplified in FIGS. 6 and 7, headrest 20 comprises a plurality of surfaces (front surface shown), and cover 30 covers at least a portion of one of the plurality of surfaces of headrest 20. The specific way of attaching may be varied. The inflation means could be placed in any manner, as needed. As exemplified in FIG. 7, cover 30 may comprise a pair of attaching means 70 with a velcro-like surface for attaching cover 30 to headrest 20.

[0058] Another embodiment of the present invention, as exemplified in FIG. 8, comprises a cover 300 for covering a visor 100, wherein the cover 300 comprises a plurality of extendable portions 800, connected by hinges 900. Of course, the number, shape, size, and type of extendable portions, and their manner of connection may be varied, as needed. Furthermore, each of the plurality of extendable portions may permit different levels of light to pass through: from no light to a predetermined amount of light. The extendable portions effectively increase the amount of area of light shielding.

[0059] Similar to the above-described embodiments, cover 300 may comprise of a plurality of openings, wherein at least one of the plurality of openings—opening 400—provides an opening through which the visor 100 is inserted and covered. Again, opening 400 may comprise an elastic member 600.

[0060] Alternatively, as exemplified in FIG. 9, cover 300 may be attached to visor 100 via attachment means 700, which may, for example, be a velcro-like material. The specific way of attaching may be varied.

[0061] Another embodiment of the present invention, as exemplified in FIG. 10, wherein a plurality of objects may be attached to the cover, comprises a plurality of attaching means 801, 802, 803a, 803b, 804, and 805 for attaching the plurality of objects to the cover. The type of object and the type, style, shape of the attaching means may be varied, as needed. Just as an example, 801 could be an identification card or picture holder; 802 could be an eyeglass case holder; 803a could be a writing pad holder; 803b could be a pen or pencil holder; 804 could be a mirror holder; and 805 could be a phone or beeper holder. For sake of brevity detailed description of opening 400, elastic member 600, hinges 900, and attaching means 700 (FIG. 11) are omitted but are similar to the corresponding parts in the embodiments described above.

[0062] FIGS. 12-22 correspond to FIG. 1-11 and comprises an additional element of indicia 12 having parts of different light reflectivity. The embodiments of the present invention directed to FIGS. 12-22 has a particular application in instances where there is a need to provide identifying information via indicia 12. For sake of brevity a description of the other reference numbers of FIGS. 12-22 are omitted but are similar to the corresponding reference numbers of FIGS. 1-11. The way in which the indicia is created or is applied to the cover may be varied, as needed. Also, the particular information provided may vary, as needed (e.g., the information could be symbolic, alphanumeric, symmetric, asymmetric, repeating, or nonrepeating).

[0063] While the present invention has been shown and described with reference to preferred embodiments presently contemplated as best modes for carrying out the invention, it is understood that various changes maybe made in adapting the invention to different embodiments without departing from the broader inventive concepts disclosed herein and comprehended by the claims which follow.
