Claims:
1. Bag for keeping objects needed in connection with the death of a person, characterized in the bag comprising pockets and storage rooms for such as a shroud, a head cloth for the pillow, a smaller table cloth for the table next to the bed for placing a stearin candle in a candle stick which likewise are kept in the bag together with matches, and that the pockets of the bag are adapted to receive the belongings of the deceased, such as pieces of jewellery, clothing, shoes etc. when these belongings are handle over to the relatives or family.

Utilization of a bag to keep objects needed in connection with death of a person, such as shroud, a head cloth to be laid on a pillow, a table clothing to be laid on the table next to the bed for placing a stearin candle in a candle stick likewise being kept in the bag together with matches and, after the relatives have visited the deceased, to handle over the bag to the relatives with the belongings of the deceased.

Description:
[0001] The present invention is related to a bag and the use of such a bag for objects to be used in connection with the death of a person.

[0002] In hospitals, nursing homes, nursing houses etc., employees are used to prepare deceased persons such that the closest family may take farewell with the deceased. The situation the relatives experience is however depending of in which way the individual nursing persons have been able to provide remedies which can contribute to establish the atmosphere of solemnity which the situation requires.

[0003] On the other hand it is often experienced that relatives are handed a common plastic bag with the belongings of the deceased which in no way stands in a relation to the solemnity present and the situation of the relatives.

[0004] To meet the above mentioned disadvantages and drawbacks in connection with a death in institutions, the bag according to the present invention provides a solution which in a very simple way contributes to create solemnity in a specific situation. This is achieved with the bag according to the present invention as described with the features stated in the claims.

[0009] A bag 1 according to the present invention preferably is made of a soft fabric and is provided with pockets 2 with zipper 3. The bag 1 is intended to be kept in hospitals, nursing homes etc., and other institutions where persons die and are nursed by the employees. When the employees have knowledge of the existence of a bag 1 according to the present invention, belonging to each patient, the work for the employees also is made much easier when nursing the deceased to be prepared for relatives to take a last farewell.

[0010] The bag 1 according to the invention comprises a shroud or winding sheet which preferably may be made such that the collar can be turned to display an optional other look.

[0011] The bag 1 furthermore comprises a head cloth to be placed under the head of the deceased, on the pillow, as well as a smaller table cloth to be placed on the small table next to the person's bed. The bag further may contain a chin-bow to hold the lower jaw against the upper jaw of the deceased.

[0012] To be placed on this table cloth the bag 1 preferably also comprises a stearin candle as well as a candle stick for the stearin candle, having a shape which ensures that the candle does not fall off easily. Furthermore the stearin candle preferably should be of the self-quenching type. Suitably the bag 1 also contains matches for lightning the stearin candle.

[0013] The bag 1 comprises smaller rooms 2 where the belongings of the deceased may be placed, such as pieces of jewellery, watch etc. Furthermore the bag contains rooms for the shoes and clothing of the deceased. Larger pieces 5 of clothing may be placed cross over the entire bag as FIG. 3 discloses.

[0014] The bag is preferably delivered to the institution sealed in a transparent material of such a nature that it does not crackle or in other way make noise by contact, such as when the material is removed to clear the bag for use. Furthermore, the bag 1 is provided with a tag or label where the name of the person in question may be written as well as possibly other information.

[0015] By using the bag according to the present invention it is ensured that all objects considered adequate in connection with the death of a person, are present at the place where it is needed and simultaneously the belongings of the deceased are given to the relatives or family in a dignified manner, opposite to what is the case today.

[0016] A special shroud is developed for babies and a corresponding bag is provided, substantially smaller than the bag for adults, more like a pouch.
