Title:
FACE LIFTING TECHNIQUE
United States Patent 3731677

Abstract:
A stocking cap is placed over the head of a user with all hair tucked thereunder. Strips of adherent tape are then secured both to the cap and to the face in regions where facial uplift is desired. The stocking cap is close-fitting and the loose end at the top is strapped down with tape. Make up is then applied as needed and finally a wig is fitted over the cap.

Claims:
I claim

1. A method for rapidly but temporarily producing a face lifting action comprising:

2. A method as set forth in claim 1, wherein the cap is first pulled down to the eye level and is then pushed back to the hair line, all hair strands being then tucked in under the cap;

3. A method as set forth in claim 2 wherein said one end of the strip is placed about 1/4 to 1/2 inch below the cap.

Description:
FIELD OF INVENTION

This invention relates to face lifting procedure, and more particularly to treatments of this character which avoid surgery and hospitalization.

PRIOR ART

The greater part of the face lifting heretofore proposed has been by way of a surgical operation. This is an expensive procedure requiring hospitalization, and involving pain and loss of time, and running the risk of poor success. The main objects of the present invention are to provide low cost, short time, and relatively painless do-it-yourself technique.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

My invention is directed toward a technique for instantly (if temporarily) providing desired facial lifting actions. In brief a user first places a stocking cap over her head, pulls same down to eye level and then pulls same back to the hair line, tucking in all hair strands. Narrow strips of adherent tape are then employed. One end of each strip is placed at any location on the face where uplift is desired. With this end secured to the skin, the other end of the tap is pulled gently upward and secured to the cap. Makeup can then be applied as needed and finally a wig is fitted over the cap.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

In the drawings:

FIG. 1 illustrates the face before the lifting operation in accordance with my invention; and

FIG. 2 illustrates the effect achieved after the application of my face-lifting operation.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Referring now to FIGS. 1 and 2, a stocking cap 10 is first fitted over the head of the wearer, being pulled down to approximately eye level and then being pulled back to the hair line 12. All hair strands are then tucked in. Strips 14 of adherent tape are then prepared. For greater leverage to lifting action, strips applied should preferably be from 10 inches to 12 inches and should overlap and adhere to cap. One end of each strip is then placed approximately one-fourth inch to one-half inch below the cap at the hair line at any location where facial uplift is desired. In FIG. 1, the face is shown before the face-lift; in FIG. 2, the uplifting action on the face is shown after the face-lifting operation.

The end is then pressed to the skin with finger tips for approximately 10 - 15 seconds (to attain secure adherence). The opposite end is pulled gently upward with thumb and indexing finger of one hand while the other end is held in place with the index finger of the other hand. The tape is pulled until the desired amount of lift is achieved, and then the opposite end is secured to the cap.

The tape can be placed at any location under hair line desired.

Scowl lines can be removed by placing tape in oblique position in area near hairline that is located in region over mid-position of eye and gently pulling upward and outward and adhere to stocking cap.

The erasure of said scowl lines could be achieved by lifting the eyebrows and forehead and by opening wide both eyes before application of the tapes.

If desired, a portion of stocking cap covering ear may be lifted to expose ear. This is to be done gently after application of tapes to cap.

To secure holding back of cap at nape in place, apply bobby-pins holding cap to hair at neckline. This can be done at completion of procedure.

After desired effect is achieved, makeup can be applied and the wig put on.

While I have described my invention with particular reference to the drawings, such is not to be considered as limiting its actual scope.
