Abstract:
1,182,342. Dishwashing machines. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. 22 Feb., 1967 [30 March, 1966], No. 8440/67. Heading A4F. [Also in Division B1] An automatic dishwasher has a wash chamber 12 and dish supporting racks 15 and 16. Spray 24 rotates under the forces created by the liquid ejected and collected liquid is discharged from sump 18 by outlet 23. Heating of water and drying of the articles is accomplished by electric heater 25. The water is softened in ion exchange chamber 30. A solenoid actuated valve controls the cycle of washing, rinsing, drying, softening and regeneration of exchange through the motor 20.
