658,379. Recording paper actuated by heat. NATIONAL CASH REGISTER CO. Aug. 26, 1949, No. 22194. Convention date, Dec. 24, 1948. [Class 96] Paper &c. is impregnated or coated with an eosin compound of the formula : where R is e.g. CH 3 , C 2 H 6 or C 3 H 7 , to produce record material showing distinctive colouration on heating, as by a heated stylus. A mild alkali, e.g. sodium carbonate, sodium stearate, or sodium phosphate, may also be present in the paper &c.
