Description:

BACKGROUND OF THE DISCLOSURE

Field of the Disclosure

The disclosure relates to games and more particularly pertains to a new game for enhancing difficulty of the game of football, basketball, volleyball or other game involving manipulation of a ball.

SUMMARY OF THE DISCLOSURE

An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a cube that may be manipulated thereby facilitating the cube to be selectively launched at a goal during game play. The cube has a plurality of intersecting sides. The cube may travel in an unpredictable direction when the cube is struck during game play thereby enhancing difficulty of the game play. The cube comprises an inner core and an outer surface. The inner core is comprised of a resiliently compressible material such that the cube may bounce. The outer surface is comprised of a deformable material.

There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.

The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:

FIG. 1 is a top perspective view of a game assembly according to an embodiment of the disclosure.

FIG. 2 is a front perspective view of an embodiment of the disclosure.

FIG. 3 is a cross sectional view taken along line 3-3 of FIG. 2 of an embodiment of the disclosure.

FIG. 4 is a Mercator perspective view of an embodiment of the disclosure.

FIG. 5 is a perspective in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 5 thereof, a new game embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.

As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 5, the game 10 assembly generally comprises a cube 12 that may be manipulated thereby facilitating the cube 12 to be selectively launched at a goal 14 during game play. The cube 12 has a plurality of intersecting sides 16. Thus, the cube 12 may travel in an unpredictable direction when the cube 12 is struck during game play. Thus, the cube 12 enhances difficulty of the game play with respect to game play involving a ball. The game play may be the game of football, the game of basketball, the game of volley ball or other game play utilizing a ball to score points.

The cube 12 comprises an inner core 18 and an outer surface 20. The inner core 18 is comprised of a resiliently compressible material such as foam rubber or the like.

Thus, the cube 12 may bounce when the cube 12 strikes Earth or other stationary object. Additionally, the inner core 18 enhances comfort when the cube 12 is struck by a player. The outer surface 20 is comprised of a deformable material such as vinyl or the like. Each of the intersecting sides 16 may have a length and a width ranging between approximately 15 cm and 18 cm. Thus, the cube 12 may pass through a basketball hoop.

The plurality of intersecting sides 16 comprises a first set of sides 22 and a second set of sides 24. The outer surface 20 corresponding to each of the first set of sides 22 has a color that is distinct from the outer surface 20 corresponding to each of the second set of sides 24. The color of each of the first set of sides 22 may be black. The color of each of the second set of sides 24 may be white. The outer surface 20 corresponding to each of the intersecting sides 16 has indicia 26 printed thereon.

The indicia 26 corresponding to each of the first set of sides 22 has a color corresponding to the second set of sides 24. Thus, contrast of the indicia 26 with respect to each of the first set of sides 22 is enhanced. The indicia 26 corresponding to each of the second set of sides 24 has a color corresponding to the first set of sides 22. Thus, contrast of the indicia 26 with respect to each of the second set of sides 24 is enhanced. The indicia 26 on each of the first set of sides 22 may comprise the corresponding letters “S”, “Q” and “U”. The indicia 26 on each of the second set of sides 24 may comprise the corresponding letters “A”, “R” and “E”. Thus, the indicia 26 may spell the word “SQUARE”.

In use, the cube 12 is manipulated during game play. The cube 12 is launched at the goal 14 when the cube 12 is manipulated during the game play. The cube 12 may be thrown or the cube 12 may be struck with a palm, a fist or a foot. One point is awarded if the cube 12 is successfully thrown through the goal 14. Two points is awarded is the cube 12 passes through the goal 14 when the cube 12 is struck with the palm. Three points is awarded is the cube 12 passes through the goal 14 when the cube 12 is struck with the fist. Four points is awarded if the cube 12 passes through the goal 14 when the cube 12 is struck with the foot.

With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, game and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.

Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
