Abstract:
A surfing exerciser includes a frame with a connection member and two first cylinders each have a first end thereof pivotably connected to one of two sides of the connection member. Two respective second ends of the first cylinder cylinders are pivotably connected to two ends of an elongate board. Two second cylinders each have a first end thereof pivotably connected to one of two sides of the frame. Two respective second ends of the second cylinder cylinders are pivotably connected to two sides of the board. The two first cylinders are pivotable about a first axis and the two second cylinders are pivotable about a second axis which is substantially perpendicular to the first axis. The user stands on two ends of the board by his or her two feet and can pivot the board in different directions to overcome the resistance from the cylinders.

Claims:
What is claimed is:

1. A surfing exerciser comprising: a board; a frame and the board pivotably connected to the frame, the board being pivotable in different directions.

2. The surfing exerciser as claimed in claim 1, wherein a pivotable device is connected between the board and the frame, a plurality of cylinders are connected between the board and the frame.

3. The surfing exerciser as claimed in claim 2, wherein the pivotable device includes a first axis and a second axis, the board is pivotable about the first axis and the second axis.

4. The surfing exerciser as claimed in claim 2, the cylinders include two first cylinders and two second cylinders, the first cylinders are located on two sides of the first axis, the two second cylinders are located on two sides of the second axis.

5. A surfing exerciser comprising: a board, and a frame and a connection member connected on a top of the frame, two first cylinders each have a first end thereof pivotably connected to one of two sides of the connection member, two respective second ends of the first cylinder cylinders pivotably connected to two ends of the board, two second cylinders each have a first end thereof pivotably connected to one of two sides of the frame, two respective second ends of the second cylinder cylinders pivotably connected to two sides of the board, the two first cylinders pivotable about a first axis and the two second cylinders pivotable about a second axis which is substantially perpendicular to the first axis.

6. The exerciser as claimed in claim 5, wherein two support rods are connected to an underside of the board and two connection links each have a first end pivotably connected to the connection member, two respective second ends of the two connection links are pivotably connected to the two support rods.

7. The exerciser as claimed in claim 5, wherein two stops extend from the frame and located corresponding to the two ends of the board.

Description:

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to an exerciser and more particularly, to a surfing exerciser which includes a board connected with cylinders and pivotable about different axes.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

A conventional climbing exerciser known to applicant generally includes a frame with two pedals assembly and each pedal has an end pivotably connected to the frame and the other end is connected with a cylinder so that when the user tries to tread the pedals alternatively, he or she has to overcome the resistance from the cylinders connected to the pedals such that the feet are exercised. However, this type of exercise is boring and the users want to have an exerciser with more poses and actions applied so as to have more fun during exercising. An improvement is made to the climbing exercise which employs a universal joint to be connected with the pedals so that the user can tread the pedals at different directions. Nevertheless, the pedals are difficult to be connected with damper devices to obtain necessary resistance in different directions.

The present invention intends to provide a surfing exerciser wherein the board is connected to two support rods which can be pivoted about two axes. Cylinders are respectively connected to the two support rods to provide resistance in different directions.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a surfing exerciser which comprises a frame with a connection member on a top of the frame and two first cylinders each have a first end thereof pivotably connected to one of two sides of the connection member. Two respective second ends of the first cylinder cylinders are pivotably connected to two ends of a board. Two second cylinders each have a first end thereof pivotably connected to one of two sides of the frame, and two respective second ends of the second cylinder cylinders are pivotably connected to two sides of the board. The two first cylinders are pivotable about a first axis and the two second cylinders are pivotable about a second axis which is substantially perpendicular to the first axis.

The primary object of the present invention is to provide an exerciser which provides a function that the users operate the exerciser just like surfing and pivot the board about different axes.

The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is an exploded view to show the surfing exerciser of the present invention;

FIG. 2 is an exploded view to show that the first and second cylinders are installed;

FIG. 3 is an exploded view to show that the board is to be connected to the support rods;

FIG. 4 is a perspective view of the surfing exerciser of the present invention;

FIGS. 5 and 6 show the board are pivoted about the first axis;

FIGS. 7 and 8 show the board are pivoted about the second axis, and

FIGS. 9 and 10 show that the board is pivoted about both of the first and second axes.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Referring to FIGS. 1 to 4, the surfing exerciser 1 of the present invention comprises a frame 20 which is an H-shaped frame and includes a central bar and two transverse end bars. The two transverse end bards each have two anti-slip pads connected to two ends thereof so as to be put on a floor. A connection member 31 is connected on a top of the central bar of the frame 20.

Two connection links 311 each have a first end pivotably connected to the connection member 31 and two respective second ends of the two connection links 311 are pivotably connected to two parallel support rods 11. Two ends of the two support rods 11 are connected to an underside of an elongate board 10.

Two first cylinders 33 each have a first end thereof pivotably connected to one of two sides of the connection member 31, and two respective second ends of the first cylinder cylinders 33 are pivotably connected to the two ends of the support rods 11 on the two ends of the board 10. Two second cylinders 34 each have a first end thereof pivotably connected to one of two sides of the central bar of the frame 20, and a bridge bar 341 is connected between the two respective second ends of the second cylinder cylinders 34 and located across over the connection member 31. Two ends of the bridge bar 341 are pivotably connected to two sides of the board 10.

The two first cylinders 33 are pivotable about a first axis 310 and the two second cylinders 34 pivotable about a second axis 32 which is substantially perpendicular to the first axis 310.

As shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, when the user's two feet stand on two ends of the board 10, he or she can pivot the board 10 about the first axis 310. As shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, the user may change the weight of his or her body to pivot the board 10 about the second axis 310. Referring to FIGS. 9 and 10, the board 10 can also be pivoted about both of the first and second axes 310, 32.

Two stops 22 extend from the central bar of the frame 20 and located corresponding to the two ends of the board 10 so as to prevent the two ends fo the board 10 from hitting the frame 20.

While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
