Viewing FreePatentsOnline PDFs
FreePatentsOnline offers you patent PDFs. To view PDFs,
1. Log in to FreePatentsOnline (if you don't have an account, create one - it is free!).
2. Search for patents using any one of our search forms.
3. From the results list, select the PDF icon next to the patent of your interest. You can also view the patent PDF from the full text page, by selecting the PDF icon in the page.
If you click on a PDF link, and cannot open the document, chances are you do not have a PDF reader installed. In that case, you can download Acrobat Reader, a PDF reader from Adobe.
Our PDFs use a compression scheme, which, while fairly common by now, will not work on very old PDF readers. We suggest using the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. The latest version of Acrobat Reader is Acrobat Reader 8 (November 2006).
If you are unsure of the version of your Acrobat Reader, select "Help" menu in your Acrobat Reader, and then select About Acrobat Reader.
