With this issue, we begin a new regular feature, "Probes." Peter Zhang, who has contributed often to this journal will be suggesting ideas about our symbolic environment in this section. Peter Zhang is an assistant professor in the School of Communications at Grand Valley State University. His late research focus is on Gilles Deleuze, Marshall McLuhan. Paul Virilio.
