There are provided attracting and ingestion-stimulating agents for cockroach comprising as the active ingredient: (a) one or more compounds selected from the group of 1-amino-5,6,7,8-tetrahydronaphthalene, 2-amino-5,6,7,8-tetrahydronaphthalene, 2-aminomethyl-5,6,7,8-tetrahydronaphthalene and a salt thereof; and (b) one or more compounds selected from the group of p-n-butylphenol, p-n-amylphenol, 5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-1-naphthol and 5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-2-naphthol. The attracting and ingestion-stimulating agents for cockroach exhibit the very potent attracting and ingestion-stimulating activities in the known species of house cockroach, both male and female.
