The on-load switch proposed comprises a switching drive with, disposed above it, identically designed contact surfaces, there being a contact surface for each phase to be switched. Rotating shafts extend from the switching drive into the contact surfaces. Rigidly joined to each shaft in each contact surface is a lever which pivots between fixed contacts. Located in the switching drive are, furthermore, suitable mechanical switching means which rotate an additional contact between two fixed end positions.
