Claims:
1. The ornamental design for a telephone base, as shown.

Description:

FIG. 1 is a top plan view of a first embodiment of a telephone base showing our new design;

FIG. 2 is a left side elevational thereof to a reduced scale;

FIG. 3 is a rear elevational view thereof to a reduced scale;

FIG. 4 is a bottom plan view thereof to a reduced scale;

FIG. 5 is an isometric view thereof from the a front, right side and top, seen in a position of use;

FIG. 6 is a view similar to FIG. 5 of a second embodiment;

FIG. 7 is a view similar to FIG. 1 of a third embodiment; and

FIG. 8 is a view similar to FIG. 2 of the second and third embodiments.

The views from the bottom and rear are identical in all embodiments. The views from the front and the respective sides are identical in the second and third embodiments.

Each of the three embodiments are identical except for the upper right quadrant of the top face (as illustrated in FIG. 1) where the first embodiment has a transparent panel pivotable between the down orientation illustrated in FIGS. 1-3 and the up orientation illustrated in FIG. 5, and where the second and third embodiments have instead of the panel four rows of each of signal lights/push buttons and transparent label areas. The third embodiment also has an LCD display in the upper right quadrant above the signal lights/push buttons and transparent label areas, while the second embodiment does not.
