3. The combination according to claim 2, wherein said squeeze bottle is a plastic material and provides resevoir means for said glue, said glue being retained within said squeeze bottle portion of said device by means of said cap, said cap being narrowed and internally threaded to receive the external threading of a neck portion secured fixedly to the endwall of said bottle and said handle is secured fixedly within the bore of the tapered portion of said squeeze bottle, said handle having said nozzle extending therefrom and integral therewith, said nozzle having means for the passage of glue squeezed from said squeezed bottle and said blade portion of the head of said device is provided with a plurality of sharp edges for cutting purposes.

Description:
This invention relates to tools, more particularly to a hammer, knife and glue gun combination.

It is therefore the principal object of this invention to provide a hammer, knife and glue gun combination which will be particularly adaptable for use in panel patching in plywood mills and will be also adaptable for cabinet makers use, and others.

Another object of this invention is to provide a combination of the type described, which will have a structure including a handle to which is secured a head portion having both a flanged portion and a knife portion and nozzle means will extend from the head portion for the dispensing of glue from the squeeze bottle portion at the opposite end, the squeeze bottle portion being refillable.

A further object of this invention is to provide a combination of the type described which will eliminate the use of a glue pot, a separate knife, and a hammer.

Other objects of the invention are to provide a hammer, knife, and glue gun combination which is simple in design, inexpensive to manufacture, rugged in construction, easy to use and efficient in operation.

These and other objects will be readily evident upon the study of the following specification and the accompanying drawing, wherein:

FIG. 1 is a side view of the present invention shown in elevation and partly broken away.

FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view taken along the line 2--2 of FIG. 1.

According to this invention, the hammer, knife and glue gun combination 10 is shown to include a hollow metal handle 11 having fixedly secured thereto in a suitable manner, a head 12 which includes a flanged portion 18 for hammering purposes. The opposite end of head 12 includes a knife blade 14 having a plurality of edges 15 and 16. At the opposite end of metal handle 11 is secured fixedly, a plastic squeeze bottle 17 for storing glue 18. An externally threaded neck 19 for filling the bottle portion 17 is provided with a washer 20 on the interior of bottle 17 and neck 19 receives a narrowed and threaded cap 21 which abuts with an external washer 22 on the endwall 23 of bottle 17.

In use, when glue 18 is needed, bottle 17 is squeezed manually, whereupon glue 18 will flow from the nozzle 23A by means of the opening 24.
