Description:
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

My present invention relates to a unique and novel sandal shoe having a removal top vamp portion.

A number of U.S. Pat. Nos.: 2,178,025; 2,368,314; and 2,388,744 have employed various shoe constructions, but these aforementioned patents are non-applicable to my present invention.

An object of my present invention is to provide a removal top vamp portion detachably mounted onto the sidewalls of a shoe bottom, wherein various shaped vamp portions have different colors and designs.

A further object of my present invention is to provide a shoe bottom having a unitary structure, wherein the bottom base of the forward sole portion has a convex curvative.

Briefly, my present invention consists of a sandal shoe having a removal top vamp portion detachably engaging the sidewalls of a shoe bottom. The shoe bottom consists of a forward sole portion, a middle shank, and a raised heel. The bottom base of the forward sole portion has a convex curvative onto which is affixed a rubber sole.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The objects and features of the invention may be understood with reference to the following detailed description of an illustrative embodiment of the invention, taken together with the accompanying drawings in which:

FIG. 1 illustrates a perspective view of a sandal shoe;

FIG. 2 illustrates a bottom planar view of a first type of vamp portion of the sandal shoe; and

FIG. 3 illustrates a bottom planar view of a second type of vamp portion of the sandal shoe.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Turning now descriptively to the drawings, in which similar reference characters denote similar elements throughout the several views, FIGS. 1-2 show a sandal shoe 10 having a removal top vamp portion 11. The shoe bottom 12 is a unitary wooden structure consisting of a raised heel 13, a middle shank 14 and a forward sole portion 15. The shank 14 extends rearwardly upward from the sole portion 15 to the upper end of the raised heel 13. A rubber base element 33 is affixed onto the bottom end 34 of the heel 13. The bottom base 16 of the forward sole portion 15 has a convex curvative, wherein a rubber sole 17 is affixed onto the bottom base 16. A plurality of male snap members 18 are affixed onto both sidewalls 19 of the shoe bottom 12, wherein snap members 18 are aligned in a row extending rearwardly from the forward sole portion 15 to the middle shank portion 14. The removable vamp portion 11 is formed from a conventionally colored flexible thermoplastic, canvas, twill, or leather, wherein the vamp portion 11 is of a generally trapezoidally shaped element 35 having a top 20 and a bottom 21 end of a concave curvative. A plurality of female snap members 22 are contained along each side 23, 24 of the vamp portion 11. The vamp portion 11 is flexed into a half cylindrical configuration and placed over the top of a foot (not shown) resting on the top base 25 of the shoe bottom 12. The female snap members 22 communicate with the male snap members 18 holding the vamp portion 11 onto the shoe bottom 12.

FIG. 3 shows a second type of a removable top vamp portion 26. Vamp portion 26 comprises an elongated center strap portion 27 having a plurality of narrow strap elements 28 joined at a plurality of acute angles onto each side 29, 30 of portion 27. A second female snap member 31 is contained in a free end 32 of each strap element 28, wherein snap members 31 engage snap members 18 of the shoe bottom 12 as strap portion 27 rest on top of the foot.

Hence, obvious changes may be made in the specific embodiment of the invention described herein, such modifications being within the spirit and scope of the invention claimed, it is indicated that all matter contained herein is intended as an illustrative and not as limiting in scope.
