Claims:
Having thus described the invention, what is claimed and desired to be secured by Letters Patent of the United States, is
1. A composite golfing implement adapted for suspension adjacent to the upper portion of a golf bag, said element being a unitary structure including a small horizontally disposed rake at the top, upturned teeth on said rake, an integral shank aligned and extending oppositely from said teeth, the upper end of said shank being apertured to permit tying thereon of an elastic cord, the lower end of said shank spaced from said rake, and a hand element aligned with the shank and integral therewith, and fingers on the hand element pointed away from said rake as a glove drier.
2. A golfing implement as in claim 1, plural ribs lengthwise on the digits of said hand element, said ribs being of equal width and four in number each spaced ninety degrees from each adjoining rib.
Description:
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The device could be made of plastic or other appropriate material and comprises a glove form which is arranged to depend from the top of a golf club bag to hold a wet glove to dry the same. The fingers and thumb forms promote drying of the glove by virtue of the multiple rib structure of each digit. Aunitary structure with the glove form at the wrist area is a shank element with an aperture adjacent the upper end thereof provided with an elastic cord in turn connected to the upper edge of the golf club bag. The top of the bar is crowned at right angles by a short rake usable for cleaning spikes of golf shoes. Golf gloves become moist from fishing golf balls from water hazards and from perspiration.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWING
FIG. 1 is a front view in elevation partialy broken away of a golf glove drying implement with a golf glove held thereon, said implement embodying the invention.
FIG. 2 is a side view of the same.
FIG. 3 is a cross-section taken on lines 3--3 of FIG. 1 showing how the glove fingers are dried on the cross ribs of the drying implement.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION
In its preferred form the composite golfing implement comprises an elongate shank 10, crowned by a relatively short rake 11 disposed at right angles thereto. Immediately beneath the rake 11, the shank 10 is apertured at 12 for fastening of an elastic cord, to be in turn attached to an upper edge of a golf bag.
At the lower end of shank 10, are three integral extentions 14, 15 and 16. Extention 14 had depending therefrom a thumb insert 17 and a first finger insert 18. Extension 15 has depending therefrom at appropriate lengths, the second and and ring finger inserts, 19 and 20, and extension 16 has depending therefrom, the little finger insert 21. The thumb and finger inserts are skeletal in form and equi cross shaped in cross-section to preserve shape and to ventilate a golf glove 22 as it dries on the integral assembly. The rake 11 may be used to remove mud from the cleats of a golf shoe.
