Abstract:
A hollow rectangular game board having flat horizontal top and bottom surfaces and an inner chamber with a bottom which slopes downward from one end to the other. The other end has a vertical opening. The one end has off center top horizontal openings whereby when a puck falls through one of the horizontal openings it slides by gravity toward the other end in the chamber for subsequent removal at the vertical opening. A movable simulated goal tender is disposed at the one end between the horizontal openings. Manually actuated puck launching means disposed at the other end can release the puck as desired.

Description:
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
This invention is directed toward a game adapted for use by two players one of whom launches a puck along a game board toward a goal and the other of whom operates a simulated goal tender. The one player attempts to cause the puck to make a goal while the other player attempts to cause the tender to block the puck.
To this end, the invention employs a hollow rectangular game board having flat horizontal top and bottom surfaces. The board has an interior chamber with a bottom that slopes downward from one end to the other. The other end has a vertical opening. The one end has off-center disposed top horizontal openings whereby when a puck falls through one of the horizontal openings, it slides by gravity toward the other end in the chamber for subsequent removal at the inner opening.
A movable simulated goal tender is disposed at the one end between the horizontal openings. Manually actuated puck launching means disposed at the other end can release the puck as desired. The game can then be played as described.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
Referring now to FIGS. 1-6, an elongated shallow hollow game board 10 has top and bottom horizontal surfaces and an inner chamber 12. The bottom 18 of the chamber slopes downward from one end 14 to the opposite end 16. End 16 has a horizontally elongated vertical slot 20. End 14 has two oppositely disposed elongated horizontal slots 22 in the top horizontal surface.
End 14 has a cut away curved region 26. A horizontal hollow platform 28 is secured to the center of end 14 intermediate slots 22 and extends rearward. A simulated goal tender 30 vertically disposed in front of a front opening 32 in platform 28 and is secured by linkage 34 to vertical bar 36 which can be rotated to swing the tender to the left or right and can be moved vertically to move the tender up or down. Opening 32 is much wider than the tender whereby should a puck 38 pass by tender into opening 32, a goal is scored.
Should the puck be collected in slot 22, it will fall by gravity along bottom 18 to end 16 and can be removed at slot 20. No goal is scored under these conditions.
A horizontal hollow tube 40 is pivotally secured via support 42 slightly above the top surface of the board and has an open front end 44 in which the puck can be disposed for launching.
An elongated horizontal plunger 46 is slidable in the other end of the tube and has an enlarged head. An elastic rubber band 48 or the like is disposed around the plunger and extends downward over pulley 50 to engage hook 52 on trigger 54. The plunger can then be cocked and subsequently released by pulling the trigger whereby the puck is launched. It can be aimed at opening 32 with an attempt to pass the tender as described.
Located at letters S are stationary images of separate hockey players with curved sticks placed at a correct angle so as to deflect the puck into the net.
Located at letter H is a player with movable stick to deflect puck anywhere into the net.
While I have described my invention with particular reference to the drawings, such is not to be considered as limiting its actual scope.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
Referring now to FIGS. 1-6, an elongated shallow hollow game board 10 has top and bottom horizontal surfaces and an inner chamber 12. The bottom 18 of the chamber slopes downward from one end 14 to the opposite end 16. End 16 has a horizontally elongated vertical slot 20. End 14 has two oppositely disposed elongated horizontal slots 22 in the top horizontal surface.
End 14 has a cut away curved region 26. A horizontal hollow platform 28 is secured to the center of end 14 intermediate slots 22 and extends rearward. A simulated goal tender 30 vertically disposed in front of a front opening 32 in platform 28 and is secured by linkage 34 to vertical bar 36 which can be rotated to swing the tender to the left or right and can be moved vertically to move the tender up or down. Opening 32 is much wider than the tender whereby should a puck 38 pass by tender into opening 32, a goal is scored.
Should the puck be collected in slot 22, it will fall by gravity along bottom 18 to end 16 and can be removed at slot 20. No goal is scored under these conditions.
A horizontal hollow tube 40 is pivotally secured via support 42 slightly above the top surface of the board and has an open front end 44 in which the puck can be disposed for launching.
An elongated horizontal plunger 46 is slidable in the other end of the tube and has an enlarged head.
