Description:
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

While numerous party mixing games have been promoted in recent years, there are few if any, which provide genuine amusement for spectators as well as the participants. Traditional party games are also limited as to the class of persons to which they appeal. For example, an apparatus which is fun for young children cannot normally function to provide entertainment for a different age group. Nor can conventional game apparatus be used to provide different degrees of social mixing in accordance with the taste and modes of the particular group. What is actually desired is a simple, inexpensive apparatus which can be used in different ways to provide diverse forms of entertainment.

Accordingly, a primary object of the present invention is to provide an adult party game.

A further object of the invention is to provide an apparatus which can be used for fun and amusement by young children.

Other objects and advantages of the present invention will be obvious from the detailed description of a preferred embodiment given herein below.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The aforementioned objects are realized by the present invention which comprises a transparent container having openings through which objects in the container can be ejected when the container is shaken. The container is adapted to be attached to one or more persons at a height slightly below the waist, so that a vigorous shaking of the hips and buttocks will cause the ejection of the enclosed objects.

DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of a preferred embodiment of the invention.

FIG. 2 shows one way in which the invention may be utilized by two persons as a party game.

FIG. 3 shows how the apparatus could be used by one person.

FIG. 4 shows a perspective view of an alternative embodiment which collects the objects which are ejected from the main cylinder.

DESCRIPTION OF A PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Adverting to the drawings, and particularly FIG. 1, a preferred embodiment of the invention comprises a clear plastic cylinder 3 having the ends closed by end pieces 2, the openings 8 of which are larger than the diameter of the balls 4. The cylinder 3 is attached to a person in the manner shown in FIG. 3 by the adjustable strap 1. Preferrably, the cylinder will rest tight against the buttocks where hip and body movement is most effective.

The objects 4 are preferrably light weight plastic or celluloid balls like the type commonly used to play ping-pong. They may be of different colors to enhance eye appeal. The end holes 8 preferrably have a diameter of approximately one-half inch larger than the diameter of the balls 4.

FIG. 2 shows how the cylinder may be used by two persons. When used in this manner, the apparatus functions as a great party mixer. The two persons may be oriented relative to each other in other fashions. FIG. 4 shows an alternative embodiment wherein the balls are collected in the compartment tube 5 rather than being allowed to scatter about the room as would be the case with the embodiment shown in FIG. 1.

A typical application of the apparatus will utilize five colored balls. The contestant or contestants will start at a given signal and attempt to eject as many balls as possible within a given time, by shaking the body, hips and buttocks to the amusement of others. Alternatively, each contestant or pair of contestants, will be timed to see how long it takes them to eject all of the balls. The winner, of course, is the team which ejects all the balls in the least amount of time.

The basic concept of the invention is not limited to cylinders or the ejecting of the objects -- nor is the device restricted to fastening about the hips. Thus, although preferred embodiments have been shown and described, it will be understood that the invention is not limited thereto and that numerous changes, modifications and substitutions may be made without departing from the spirit of the invention.
