Description:
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

My invention is directed toward means for applying lotion to various parts of the body, particularly parts which cannot be reached with the hands. In its simplest form, the means can be an elongated flat flexible belt having an elongated flat applicator pad permanently or detachably secured to one surface thereof. With the belt unrolled and lotion applied to the pad, the belt can be manipulated to apply lotion as and where needed. The pad can be thrown away and replaced or rewashed and reused. The belt itself can be washed as desired. The belt and pad can be rolled up and held detachably in this position by snaps. The means is readily transported and stored when rolled up. Thus, my invention is useful for application of sun tan lotion on the beach. If desired, the means can be detachably secured to a bottle of lotion for application as desired.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

In the drawings:

FIG. 1 is a developed view of one form of my invention;

FIG. 2 is a cross section taken along line 2--2 in FIG. 1;

FIG. 3 is a side view of the form of FIG. 1 in rolled up state;

FIG. 4 is a plan view of a modification of the structure shown in FIG. 1; and

FIG. 5 is a side view in cross section of the structure shown in FIG. 4.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Referring now to FIGS. 1-3, an elongated flat plastic belt 10, typically three feet long and one inch wide, has an applicator layer or pad in the form of an elongated layer 12 of plastic sponge, washable or disposable, permanently or detachably secured to one surface thereof. This device can be used as previously indicated. The belt and pan can be rolled up so as to define a spiral in cross section. The belt can have cooperating snap fasteners 14 and 16, fastener 14 being secured to one end of the belt on the one surface and fastener 16 being secured to the opposite surface in such position as to engage fastener 14 detachably when the device is rolled up to hold same in position.

In FIGS. 4 and 5, the belt can have transverse bores 18 spaced apart and extending upwards to the pad to be aligned with bores 20 extending transversely through the entire pad. Bores 18 communicate with a longitudinal channel 22 in the belt which in turn has an exposed port 24 engagable with a feed tube 26. Tube 26 is connected to a cap 28 detachably engagable with the open end of a lotion carrying container whereby lotion can be dispensed as described.

While I have described my invention with particular reference to the drawings, such is not to be considered as limiting its actual scope.
