GOLF PUTTING TRAINING APPARATUS

A golf putting practice aid device which helps to stabilize the golfer's arms during putting and to help him determine his best stable posture for putting. The device, in its simplest form, embodies an elongated strip or plate of lightweight wood, plastic or the like, and has at opposite end curved portions adapted to be interposed between and to engage snugly against portions of the golfer's arms. Another form includes a central casing having separate oppositely extended, slidable arm engaging stabilizing plates mounted adjustably within said central casing.

Claims:
I claim
1. In combination, a golf putter and a gold-aide implement for use in practicing golf putting strokes with said putter by aiding proper relative positioning of the golfer's arms, said implement comprising a central rectangular generally planar tubular member having opposite open ends, an elongated planar slide member having a rectangular cross section slidably fitted within each end of said central member with a tight frictional fit to prevent accidental loosening of said slide members during use, said slidable members being provided in their remotely oppositely disposed ends with concave curvatures adapted to engage snugly against the inner sides of a golfer'arms while executing a putting stroke, and said slidable members being longitudinally adjustable within said central member to vary the spacing between the remote ends of said slidable members to accommodate the different spacing between said ends required to accommodate different golfers.
2. The combination as defined in claim 1, wherein said central member includes oppositely extending supplemental guide portions each provided with a guide slot co-extensive with the open tubular ends; and within which slots the adjustable slidable and planar members are also frictionally disposed.

In combination, a golf putter and a gold-aide implement for use in practicing golf putting strokes with said putter by aiding proper relative positioning of the golfer's arms, said implement comprising a central rectangular generally planar tubular member having opposite open ends, an elongated planar slide member having a rectangular cross section slidably fitted within each end of said central member with a tight frictional fit to prevent accidental loosening of said slide members during use, said slidable members being provided in their remotely oppositely disposed ends with concave curvatures adapted to engage snugly against the inner sides of a golfer'arms while executing a putting stroke, and said slidable members being longitudinally adjustable within said central member to vary the spacing between the remote ends of said slidable members to accommodate the different spacing between said ends required to accommodate different golfers.
2. The combination as defined in claim 1, wherein said central member includes oppositely extending supplemental guide portions each provided with a guide slot co-extensive with the open tubular ends; and within which slots the adjustable slidable and planar members are also frictionally disposed.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE DEVICE
The present device relates to a golfer's arm stabilizer plate for practicing golf putting, which was devised with a view to allowing the golfer to rapidly learn the best stable posture for golf putting.
With the above-said purpose in view, the present device comprises a strip plate made of wood, hard plastic or other suitable lightweight material having formed at each end thereof a curvature adapted to snugly fit on the second joint of the golfer's arm or on the brachium near the second joint, whereby to allow the golfer to learn the most stabilized putting posture for putting a golf ball with a high percentage of success.
The device will be described in detail hereunder with reference to the accompanying drawings.
In FIGS. 1 and 2, there is shown a first embodiment which is a basic form of the present device. In the figures, numeral 1 designates an arm stabilizer plate made of wood, hard plastic or other suitable lightweight material, said plate having formed at both ends thereof the curvatures 2, 2 which are so shaped as to nicely fit on the second joints of the respective arms of the golfer or on a part of the brachia near the second joints.
In FIGS. 3, 4 and 5 is shown a second embodiment of the present device where the arm stabilizer plate is adjustable so that it may be fitted to any type of physical build of the user. In the figures, numeral 3 denotes a center case made of wood, hard plastic or other lightweight material and having a hollow portion a. Said case is also provided with the integral oppositely projected guides bars 4 each having a slide groove b formed therein. Denoted by numerals 5, 5 are the arm stabilizer end plates each having formed at its external end a curvature 2' so shaped as to rightly fit on the second joint of the golfer's arm or on a part of the brachium adjacent to said second joint. Said both plates 5 are slidably inserted in the hollow portion a of the case 3, with the front end of each plate being slidably fitted in the slide groove b formed in each said projected bar 4.
The slidable fitting of the arm stabilizer plates 5, 5 in the hollow portion a and in the respective slide grooves b is made rather tightly so as to prevent accidental looseness of such fitting relation during use.
As described above, the arm stabilizer implement for training of golf putting according to the present device uses either an arm stabilizing plate 1 which is so formed as to fit to the physical condition of the user, or an assemblage of such stabilizing plates and a casing which may be adjusted to fit to the physical build of the golfer, and the curvatures 2 or 2' of the devices are fitted to the second joints of the golfer's arms or to the brachia near the second joints, and the golfer practices the putting with his fixed or stabilized arms slightly separated from his body.
By repeating this practice, the golfer can learn the natural and most stabilized putting posture best suited to hole out a ball 6 with a putter 7.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE DEVICE
The present device relates to a golfer's arm stabilizer plate for practicing golf putting, which was devised with a view to allowing the golfer to rapidly learn the best stable posture for golf putting.
With the above-said purpose in view, the present device comprises a strip plate made of wood, hard plastic or other suitable lightweight material having formed at each end thereof a curvature adapted to snugly fit on the second joint of the golfer's arm or on the brachium near the second joint, whereby to allow the golfer to learn the most stabilized putting posture for putting a golf ball with a high percentage of success.
The device will be described in detail hereunder with reference to the accompanying drawings.
In FIGS. 1 and 2, there is shown a first embodiment which is a basic form of the present device. The slidable fitting of the arm stabilizer plates 5, 5 in the hollow portion a and in the respective slide grooves b is made rather tightly so as to prevent accidental looseness of such fitting relation during use.
As described above, the arm stabilizer implement for training of golf putting according to the present device uses either an arm stabilizing plate 1 which is so formed as to fit to the physical condition of the user, or an assemblage of such stabilizing plates and a casing which may be adjusted to fit to the physical build of the golfer, and the curvatures 2 or 2' of the devices are fitted to the second joints of the golfer's arms or to the brachia near the second joints, and the golfer practices the putting with his fixed or stabilized arms slightly separated from his body.
By repeating this practice, the golfer can learn the natural and most stabilized putting posture best suited to hole out a ball 6 with a putter 7.
