I claim
1. In a toilet structure comprising a building with waste-receiving tank therein and having a toilet seat on the top of the tank, and with a urinal in the building and having drain leading to said tank, the improvement comprising:
2. In a structure as set forth in claim 1, wherein said weir is positioned so that said one compartment is larger than the other compartment.
3. In a structure as set forth in claim 2, wherein said building and said tank are formed of plastic.

In a structure as set forth in claim 3, wherein said building has walls with vertical configurations defining ribs on one side and grooves on the other side, said configurations being positioned about the space occupied by the tank, said tank having two ends and a side respectively in juxtaposition to respective walls of the building, said two ends and side having vertical configurations defining a rib on one side and a groove on the other and mating with said configurations of the building to lock the tank in place in the building.

In a structure as set forth in claim 1, wherein said building has walls with vertical configurations defining ribs on one side and grooves on the other side, said configurations being positioned about the space occupied by the tank, said tank having two ends and a side respectively in juxtaposition to respective walls of the building, said two ends and side having vertical configurations defining a rib on one side and a groove on the other and mating with said configurations of the building to lock the tank in place in the building.
6. In a toilet structure comprising a building with waste-receiving tank therein and having a toilet seat on the top of the tank, the improvement comprising:

Description:
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a portable toilet house constructed and arranged so as to facilitate the maintenance of sanitary conditions therein.

DESCRIPTION OF SPECIFIC EMBODIMENT
The following disclosure is offered for public disemination in return for the grant of a patent. Although it is detailed to ensure adequacy and aid understanding, this is not intended to prejudice that purpose of a patent which is to cover each new inventive concept therein no matter how others may later disguise it my variations in form or additions or further improvements. The claims at the end hereof are intended as the chief aid toward this purpose, as it is these that meet the requirement of pointing out the parts, improvements, or combinations in which the inventive concepts are found.
The building has three walls, 10, 11, 12. The fourth side has a doorframe 13 in which is mounted a door 14 by means of a continuous hinge 15. There is a pan floor 16 over a corrugated base 17. There is a roof 18, at least a part of which is translucent to provide a skylight. Except for some reinforcing in the doorframe, these components are all formed of plastic, as by means of vacuum molding. They are fastened together by screws or bolts 19. The walls are molded with inwardly extending vertical ribs 10a, 11a and 12a. As a result of the molding, there are complementary configurations on the exterior in the form of grooves. Adjacent the top of the walls 10, 11 and 12 are screened vents 20.
Adjacent wall 11 and extending between walls 10 and 12 is a waste tank, generally 24. This tank also is formed of molded plastic. The tank walls that are in juxtaposition to building walls 10, 11 and 12 are formed with grooves 25, 26, 27, respectively. These grooves are of a size to receive ribs 10a, 11a and 12a. Thus, when the tank is in place and the building fully erected, the inwardly extending ribs of the building walls lock the tank in place so that it cannot be disturbed, as, for example, by vandals. During the manufacturing process the tank is put in place before all of the walls are fastened in place and at least a final wall thereafter erected around it.
The tank 24 has a top opening 29 on which is mounted a lid 30 by means of a hinge 31. The lid rests on flanges 32 about opening 29. A toilet seat 33 also forms a part of lid 30.
The bottom of the tank 24 defines a weir 35 having a crest 36. The crest 36 is slightly more than half the height of the tank. The weir divides the tank into two compartments. The larger compartment 37 may be referred to as the primary holding tank. The smaller compartment 38 may be referred to as the secondary or reservoir holding tank. A urinal 39 on the wall of the building has a drain 40 with a discharge opening 41. The opening 41 is positioned so that it will discharge into the primary holding tank 37.
A vent pipe 43 extends from the tank 24 through the roof of the building. On one wall of the building is a paper holder 44.
The treatment chemicals are put into primary tank 37. While they can also be put into a reservoir compartment 38, this is not a real necessity. As is the case with conventional structures, the solid wastes tend to build up under the toilet at 33. However, because of the compartmented configuration of the tank and the fact that the liquid from urinal 39 is also discharged into compartment 37, there will be a substantial amount of liquid rise up about the pile of solid waste and serve to liquefy that solid waste to an extent such that it slumps down to the bottom of the compartment. As an excess of liquid waste develops, that liquid waste will flow over crest 36 of the weir into the secondary or reserve holding tank 38. When lid 30 is raised there is access to both of the holding tanks so that both of them can be pumped out. The liquid flowing from compartment 37 will already be chemically treated so that is is not absolutely necessary to insert any chemical into compartment 38.
